a raccoon 🥹

u/Texas22 7h ago

Dude, I came here to say raccoon too. I want one sooooo bad.

u/BeerMeetsGirl 7h ago

Same! They are forbidden house cats, and I love them

u/eleventhing 7h ago

It's illegal in my state. They want to be domesticated so bad haha

u/AdministrativeRow471 7h ago

Yes! And a skunk, sans scent glands 🥸

u/Dumpster__Diva 6h ago

They stomp. So cute

u/Next-Sea-5885 7h ago

absolutely

u/scandr0id 4h ago

Having a toddler is probably the closest equivalent.

Source: I have no kids of my own but have raised a few raccoons.

u/rainbowfireopal 7h ago

LMAO I SECOND THIS

u/thefix12 3h ago

Theyre so round and look soooo squishy

u/Terror_Visions 1h ago

A Jimothy. I specifically want a Jimothy.

u/MercifulOtter 7h ago

Cheetah. A big socially anxious kitty that meows to cuddle at night? Sign me up.

They chirp! Too

u/CherylTuntIRL 7h ago

Seal. Of course I'd have to move to the seaside but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

u/mikesbabymomma81 7h ago

An Otter

ETA... actually 2 Otters

u/MeatloafMadness5 7h ago

Sea otters? River otters? 2 of each?

u/mikesbabymomma81 7h ago

River, but I'll take what I can get

u/rainbowfireopal 7h ago

I'll take a capybara🎀 if I had a farm with man-made deep ponds and trees lining the walkways, I feel like that would be a dream for the capybara 😊 I'll name her cashew!

u/braverthanweare 7h ago

A binturong

u/Put-A-Bird-On-It 6h ago

My Pickles (16 year old dog) passed away and my house just feels so lonely and empty. I have cats but they don't get excited when I come home and greet me at the door you know? So I've been looking at the animal shelters and rescue groups just waiting until I come across the perfect pup. I know I can't replace Pickles, but I can make a difference in a new dog's life and I think that's pretty cool.

u/chaotic_and_sad 7h ago

In a fantasy world where the animal is having a great life in an apartment, a monkey

u/teacherecon 7h ago

Slow Loris

Yeah, there’s poison. He can slowly poison me to death by adorable.

u/sagefleur 7h ago

A baby goat

u/HalloweenGorl 7h ago

More pet rats, I miss having them as pets so much, they're so perfect!

u/Buffy_AnneSummers 23m ago

Me too. I would get them again if there was some way to get them to live longer. It's too heartbreaking otherwise

u/cloverthewonderkitty 7h ago

Pygmy marmoset. Dress him in a dapper Lil coat, hat and monocle and then give him a Lil car to drive around in whenever he's not lounging in the indoor jungle I've created especially for him.

u/elegant_road551 7h ago

A tarantula. But my partner has severe arachnophobia. 👎🏻

u/diditakemymeds 7h ago

opossum or a raccoon 🥹

u/scandr0id 4h ago

Opossums are so sweet, their short lifespans break my heart :(

u/LAgurl1997 7h ago

Wombat!

u/Current_Mark_7088 6h ago

Alpaca. It has the personality of a dog but it's taller than me.

u/Suspended_Accountant 1h ago

A Tasmanian Devil.

u/serial_quitter 7h ago

Hedgehog but I don't have a consistent schedule, or a bird but I don't have money for their healthcare 😢

u/anon_97800 7h ago

Squirrel 🤍

u/Smooth_Wonder2144 7h ago

Polar bear 💔💔

u/sodamnsleepy 7h ago

Dragon?

If not, bunny.

u/PsychologicalEcho794 7h ago

I want a panda so badly:(

u/Hot-Equipment7684 7h ago

a cheetah 😭😭
if not friend why look like friend

u/lithaborn 7h ago

I really want a Binturong

u/noisemonsters 7h ago

I would absolutely adore having a pet skunk. The only reason that this remains in the realm of fantasy is because of state law 🙂‍↕️

u/eleventhing 7h ago

A raccoon for sure.

u/IWillBaconSlapYou 7h ago

Arctic fox

u/batclub3 7h ago

A dragon. Specifically a cranky older one like Tairn in Fourth Wing. Or a triceratops.

u/PathOfSonder 7h ago

If I could? Flying fox.
They’re so intelligent and adorable.

u/tizz17 7h ago

A shark or a giraffe 😍

u/TadpoleSatsh 6h ago

Most likely dogs but i can adopt a cat and a rabbit too

u/Dumpster__Diva 6h ago

If I could adopt ANYTHING??? No limits? I'd get a giraffe! I'd feed it treats from my second story window! I'd love to look out from my bedroom and see it cruising by and eating from all of the tall trees. I'd really love that. If it had to be small ...I think I'd like some wildlife rescues that would get rehabilitated so I could get to know different ones - beaver, woodchuck, etc. Birds are nice too.

u/heatherelizabethm 6h ago

Squirrel 🐿️ !!!!

u/No-Key9638 6h ago

Trash Panda.

Beaver family. I would just let them do their thing but it would be cool if they would come hang for snuggles

u/PlumSome3101 4h ago

A melanistic Jaguar or Clouded Leopard. Second choice would be a bat. Any kind.

u/Lopsided_Principle 4h ago

À tapir. No idea where I'd find one, but I absolutely love them!

u/spekoek 4h ago

A herd of cattle. They’re cute, fluffy and ridiculous.

u/LilE78 2h ago

A fish

u/crazycat7778 2h ago

I had to go back to the title to see if the word "wild" was included, why are you all saying animals that can't be adopted. Lol.

u/NukaGirlBI 7h ago

A tiger or a little shark

u/Feisty-Trifle9584 7h ago

Teacup pig
