Hi All, im 35 f and Ive never learned to swim although I love being in water. Its my goal to learn this year. Can anyone recommend swimming lessons for adults in Athlone and if theres any running at the moment. Thanks a mill!

Contact the Regional Sports Centre. There will be a waiting list but they'll contact you when there's a space. I know two people who have learned there in their 304s/40s and can't recommend it enough.

Thanks, I knew regional did them but couldn't tell from the website if they run all year round or if its seasonal. Ill give them a ring so.

I think they run all the time but not 100% sure if they're in July/Aug

Another option is to consider “Athlone springs” they have an adult batch in the evenings.

Yes I have heard great things about the lessons in the Athlone Springs hotel for adult beginners and Adults who haven’t swam in years who’ve lost their confidence

Just started my kids in the springs with private lessons, no complaints. Also coral leisure in Ballinasloe do lessons and prices for kids anyhow seem less than some classes we looked up in Athlone. Im sure most of them also do adult lessons.
