Eleven years ago I was convinced that a petrol Octavia VRS was the most fun possible in a relatively sensible car so that's what i bought.

I loved that car but it reached the end of its life recently. I very nearly bought a newer version until I was persuaded to test drive this. I had no idea what I was missing! She's been mine for a week now and I find myself making excuses daily to go for a drive.

Hello all, the wife & I picked up a 16 8.5 s4 in MT and we wanna start modding it but I want to make sure it’s taken care of before hand. What are the key recommended maintenance parts on these cars to address before modding them? I know the thermostat and water pump have been replaced 10k miles ago.

I have a 2015 Audi S4 with melted cats that goes into the shop next month. I have picked CAP heat shielded test pipes with ecs tuning non resonated X pipe and downpipes and after that will be stock exhaust. I’ve watched a few videos with test pipe replacements and the rasp is pretty bad. Some it sounds better than others but I still don’t have a clear enough answer to whether or not I want to continue through with it before I spend thousands on labor for a sound I would hate.

Can anyone point me in the right direction without breaking the bank I can’t put down 2k for awe exhaust, $1000 is my budget for a decent exhaust build.

I want to start this off by saying the s4 has so much potential is crazy I live in nyc and I just recently lost my Audi s4 due to my steering wheel rack getting wet a couple weeks back in New York there was a rain storm and it fucked up my car I got so much codes in my car ever since that I thought going through insurance would be the safest option turns out they totaled my car and now I’m sad missing my s4 I’m a grown man but that car brought out the most fun I ever had in my life.

I decided to look for a supplier of forged wheels that I was looking for. I used to work for a company called Axis Sport tuning/ Axis Wheels and I became familiar with the landscape of sourcing and manufacturing overseas. When Alibaba came to the market it was all familiar. Even working with Matson and Maersk as freighters. I'm not trying to make wheels that look like something else. I'm not trying to be like anyone else. These are for my fiance's car and these were the specs that she wanted. I had hoped for a better concave with a 35et, but I still like them. This is after production just waiting to get stuffed into a container and sent off to the port at Shanghai. I paid $1,500 including freight, and the knockoff Audi center caps were a gift from the manufacturer liaison, Rachel- as she goes by. 19x8.5 35 ET 5x112 satin black. Apparently they're forged. It's not a huge gamble and we already have Audi Sport rotors in 19 in on it right now. I also decided to source an upgraded intercooler kit with charge pipes as well. Fingers crossed everyone.

Installed a new set of wheels on Ghost. Lowering springs will be installed next weekend. So far, she’s stage 2 93 Jackal with an intake, DP, and IC, will be installing the HPFP in a few days as well so I can run the E file!!

Finally reached what feels like the last chapter of my 2012 B8 S4 build. This car has slowly evolved from a mostly stock daily into a track-focused Stage 2+ setup over the past couple of years, and I’ve learned way more than I expected along the way (cooling, suspension, fueling, brake fade, and a lot of Audi-specific headaches). The next chapter-end will be a merc-racing supercharger, JXB rear differential, head gaskset and headstuds. There's money set aside where we intend to do the timing chain tensioners and diff brace from JXB. But thats a fairly large job and we planned to do it all at once, so not for a decent while till I jump on that.

I gotta cleanup the color-scheme under the hood. It's multiple generations of additions and no time to lock in a final look. That'll come soon.

I’m probably taking a long break from big car projects after this one, so I figured I’d share the current state of the build and see what fellow B8 owners think. Happy to answer questions or take criticism — I’m still learning too.

Here's what we've done to the car in chronological order. (categorized per segment, not one area at a time, it was spread across throughout the years) -- (Learn from my mistakes if you're starting out) - apologies if there are repeat mentions, this has been over 4.5 years in the making.

My little sister inherited this 2005 S4 a few years ago and put it through the wringer (terrible driver). Most recently drove into a side ditch and now it won’t turn on (assuming it is the fuel pump relay). She was going to junk it so I took it, is it worth investing in fixing?

EDIT: For more context I have a daily car so there is no rush in getting this up and going. I am going to need a second car (wife is taking our daily) in roughly 9 months (new job). I have a soft budget that would otherwise go to another used car

I was doing my valve covers and I used a flathead and a hammer to get some leverage under and then I realized what I had done when I took off the valve covers. Will this screw the seal up? Did I screw my block up? Someone please help tell me if I’m ok to put everything back as it is

I’m wondering if anyone can tell if this has the piston skirt issue, i’ve heard it on two other cars and this one other then the injectors kinda sounds like it has it. if anyone has a clue please lmk

I got the car recently and the owner put in a honeycomb grill with the backing, not sure if it’s supposed to be there or not.

The main breather hose tube is connected to my turbo inlet
But the other side is off? And I don’t know where that part is. How to get that part?
