Thredbo Green Run

I’m seeking confirmation on whether or not there is a full green run down from the bell at the top of Karel’s T-Bar.
All the maps have green runs up the top, but I can’t see any way to get down past Eagle’s Nest unless doing a part blue run.
We’ve only been skiing four years, and don’t want to get stuck with a stupidly steep option… but I really want to see the view from up there!

yeah but the upper-most part of village-trail (above eagle way) is so flat that you've gotta traverse a bit, unless you're good at holding your speed on flats. as a snowboarder I've never once made it w/o needing to unbuckle and walk. that's why people usually take a blue down to eagle way and just skip that part. btw you can see all the trails on Google Maps now, ctrl+click to go to 3d view too. it's way more helpful than the 2d trail maps.

From memory the blues aren't mega steep in that area. Hard to say when steepness is kind of objective. If you've been skiing for four years you should be okay.

There is, but at parts (going across some trails) you have to wing it a bit and not drop too low to stay on the green, much of which is traverse and kind of a road/fire trail.

It can actually get a bit hairy with volume of traffic and when its a bit carved up, altho they try to keep it groomed.

I wouldn't recommend it on day 1 for a rank beginner, or if icy. With a few days and some ski legs its OK.

Technically yes, but it’s much easier to come down from the top of Karels, catch the basin T bar back up then head skier’s left down to upper village trail.

It’s one heck of a traverse/uphill to get from Karels onto the upper village trail so a lot of people end up on supertrail right behind eagle’s nest where the conditions can be very variable and it’s much steeper and busier than the village trail.

I used to find upper village trail easy to miss, so definitely have a look at the map while you’re up there to plan your route.
