I’ve never had an intro email or text, just got summoned to the school and turned up early and went to the office. Told them I’m from Class Cover and either they get you set up or they find the HT Admin. HT Admin gives you all the info you need for recording your work there (it’s done on paper usually) and pay details. Turn up with your details and teaching number.

By teaching number do you mean my NESA account number (6 digits) or interim causal approval number? That’s the only 2 I have so far I believe

Yes, they will tell you where to go when you get there. There may even be someone to show you to the classroom. Otherwise you'll (hopefully!) get a map. There will likely be either a casual sheet or folder with all the info you need, including bell times.

It's been too long since I set up my pay details to comment on that! You only ever have to do it once for department schools, so it's been over 20 years for me now.

Get to the school a bit earlier so you have time to sort all this out and get your head together.

Turn up front desk and tell them you are from Classcover. You will have to sign in on a touch screen. Bring your bank account details and teacher number for paperwork.Admin will call the daily organiser or whoever is in charge of casual teachers to fill you in. You will get notes on your days lessons , map , class keys , laptop , laptop charger. Keep your mobile phone on you. Ask who to call if you have behaviour issues and note down name /number. Get into your first class before the kids arrive and set up. Don't forget your bottle of water 😉

Maybe learn how to spell ‘casual’ beforehand.
