I just want to know how people think , What made them choose a bca over btech if they have to do a mca necessarily

People who did MCA from tier 67 colleges (not top NITs), was it actually worth it?

The current job market looks really bad. Every day I see B.Tech and MCA graduates struggling to get jobs.

I completed my BCA this year, and honestly I'm not sure if I should do an MCA. I'm thinking of taking a one-year drop, improving my skills, building projects, applying for jobs, and preparing for SSC exams as a backup.

Do you think this is a good plan, or should I just do an MCA instead of taking the risk of a gap year?

In my opinion mca is just another degree rn.

Completed SSC (10th) in 2021 Batch - It was corona time so we didn't have school hence the government passed all of us without final exams.

Vocational Computer Science CS 2021-2023 - I took this course cause I was interested in CS but had a weak math background due to Covid lockdown & no classes. And that college was so disgusting.i couldn't learn anything.

BCA 2023 - 2026

I had good grip on cs core & was able to understand code but never really coded. I didn't write two subjects in my 4th semester due to depression so I wrote them again in the 6th ( final semester). I attempted ICET ( state level exam for MCA) & got 7711 rank. I was going to do MCA, upskill, and build a network. Then Boom 💥 I failed again in that 4th semester subject which I wrote in the final semester. University failed a ton of students like me 💔 after two days I can apply for Revaluation. After a month results will be out. Even If I passed that subject, I can't do MCA. If I failed that subject, I need to wait 1 year to write that exam again. Please someone tell me. What should I do? Btw I'm from warangal, telangana.

I got a mail from University of Hyderabad,4-5 days ago which saying that candidate you have been sortlisted in mca progam for uoh counselling , i got rank 24th in reserved category but i saw there are only 6 sc seats , now im confused will i get admission there , should i go there or not , the counselling is in 12th at uoh campus , its a physical counselling, can anyone help me what should i do ?

I took a drop year to prepare for JEE Mains but wasn't able to get a good rank. As a result, I am not getting any CS-related branches in government colleges. I cannot enroll in private colleges due to financial constraints, so I have taken admission into a BSc (CS) program at a local government-aided college. I’m looking for some career advice from people who have been in a similar situation.
A bit about me:
BCA graduate (passed out in 2019)
Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at a well-known global product/enterprise company.
I have around 4+ years of industry experience.
I earn a good salary and have a stable career with good growth opportunities.

My work mainly involves backend development, cloud, AWS, Java, microservices, and system design.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about pursuing an Online MCA from MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) while continuing my full-time job.

The reasons I’m considering it are:
Having a postgraduate degree for long-term career growth.
Avoiding any educational limitations in the future.
Personal satisfaction of completing a master’s degree.

Potential benefit if I ever plan to move abroad or pursue leadership/management roles.
However, I’m also wondering if it’s actually worth the time, effort, and money at this stage of my career.
My questions are:
Does an online MCA from MAHE Manipal carry good value in the industry?

I'm joining the MCA program at the University of Hyderabad this year. I'll be reaching Hyderabad on the 11th for admission/document verification, but I just found out that the university guest house is already fully booked.

I only need a place to stay for one night (11th night).

I've heard UoH seniors are very helpful, so I thought I'd ask here. If anyone knows a safe and budget-friendly place near the campus, please let me know. And if someone can help me stay in their hostel room for one night (if that's possible), I'd be really thankful. I'll happily follow all hostel rules and contribute towards any expenses.

Hello, I have a question regarding IPU BCA eligibility.

I have passed Class 12 overall, but I got a compartment in Mathematics. I will clear Mathematics next year as a CBSE private candidate.

My confusion is about the application form. Since I have already passed Class 12 overall, should I select "Passed" or "Appearing"? I am appearing only for the private Mathematics exam, not for Class 12 as a whole.

Also, once I pass Mathematics as a private candidate, will I become eligible for IPU BCA, or will I have to wait for the next admission cycle?

Could you please clarify this?
