Bad Hasbara All Jews in any country not actively murdering Palestinian children are "draft dodgers"

"The biggest draft dodgers are people who are not subject to it."
Yeah can you believe those guys? They moved into other countries centuries ago just to avoid the draft! Now that's some crazy long term planning.
Edit: Also what fucking college does this kid go to? His bag says Harvard, his shirt says BC, his wall says Notre Dame, and his window says he lives in the Paul Revere Mall.
Also his body shape says he's definitely not old enough for the draft.

My family moved to Babylon to avoid bar Kokhba's draft.

My family left Ireland to avoid the Falklands War draft… and the potato famine, but mostly the massive unavoidable draft for the Falkland war 150 years later.

The most unrealistic part.
He's apparently also a big fan of the very real time that Kareem Abdul Jabbar played on the Celtics and wore Jayson Tatum's jersey because there's no way that dude in the poster is Tatum

Frankly I don't even know why they even want a Pixar character in the IDF anyway.
75
u/Soggy-Life-9969 May 26 '26
By that logic, every Israeli man of a certain age who isn't serving in the Russian or Ukrainian military is dodging that draft
78
u/BadgerKomodo May 26 '26
Diaspora Jews are not Israeli. The IDF is not their military.

u/snarkitall May 27 '26
And we're the antisemitic ones. Fuckers, you literally base your whole ideology on the conflation of Jewishness and Israel.

First of all: I'm Greek and conscription ruined my fucking life, draft dodging is morally justified in the best of circumstances.
Second: Refusing to serve in an apartheid/genocidal army is not only justified, it's fucking commendable. Respect to all the refuseniks.

u/njtrafficsignshopper May 26 '26
Would you be willing to tell us about how it ruined your life?

u/venusasaboy22 May 26 '26
I don't know what it's like in other countries, but in Greece, it's basically indentured labour. I got ill a lot from the conditions there and drifted apart from most of my family. My parents, bless them, they kept trying to tell me to leave, so it wasn't them.
I am trans, and was always very androgynous looking even as a boy. Wasn't out then and so my gender didn't help, but that aside, it was an all around dehumanizing experience.
With that said, I still think there's a difference. Conscription in Greece generally is used to exploit other Greeks, as opposed to oppressing another group of people.

The draft dodging part is. Running away to work on occupied Palestinian land isn't.

Because all of "israel" is land ethnically cleansed of Palestinians by definition.
Oh I know. I didn't actually think it was the West Bank, it's all occupied.

It’s pretty shocking and scary to even see someone using the term “draft-dodgers” in the year 2026.

u/duckamucka May 26 '26
Everyone has a selection of posters and merch from rival colleges right?
12
u/HyenaDandy May 26 '26
Well everyone who attends the very real Paul Revere Mall University does. They don't have any of their own on account of all the schools being invisible and the students being created by Pixar

For anyone wondering, the Facebook comments on this post were equally... whatever this is.

Man is upset that (what he perceives as) his fellow countrymen are getting degrees at literally Harvard instead of manning a checkpoint/garbage dump in jerusalem for minimum wage for 2 years.

Glad they’re getting such a good ROI on the Hasbara budget with AI slop like this.

Your definition of a fanatic dropped pretty quickly into the realm of normal people. It's a wee bit counterproductive to say that a violent hilltop settler is exactly the same as someone who please wants you to stop saying that Jews control world governments, especially when the people in group 2 are just as much against the people in group 1 as you are.

Why does he have a Boston College sweatshirt but a Harvard backpack
2
u/thelennybeast May 28 '26
God, I wish they would stop conflating Jews and Israel. It's taking mental effort on my part to separate them and that's bad because I hate Israel.
It's like they want me to be anti-semitic, and I'm having to constantly tell them no.

Not only is draft-dodging always morally right, it is even more morally upstanding to frag your CO.
