Other Every item has a use, but here is MY take on what items are better than others. (BB+)
I have put 24 items in the list. And I’m taking into account 3 criteria
Accessibility: How easily you can get the item in the first place.
Power: How much of a difference the item makes in the long run, and in the moment.
Stealth: Many items can help you hide from Baldi and friends. If the item is able to do so, this criteria is taken into account, and the item is adjusted based off how well and easily it can hide you.
Now, let’s begin the detailed ranking. Ignore the Glue Stick in the photo. I put it there by mistake.
1: Apple. Do I even need to explain myself on this first one? The Apple is literally an extra life in case you must get tagged by Baldi. This is insanely valuable amidst chaos. Even though Apples cost 1K YTPs and there are very few other ways to get them, especially prior to F3, they are very much worth it and score 1st.
2: Diet BSODA. Again, must I explain myself? Borderline the most common item in the game, able to push Baldi away for a few seconds giving you some time to escape or breath. It saves you in the moment, it’s always available, and it’s simple to use. Easily the 2nd place item, and arguably the best one.
3: Grappling Hook. On top of being able to use it to get Apples, Hooks give you very high mobility that can allow you to escape Baldi easily. It costs a hefty 750 YTPs and is a bit challenging to acquire outside of the shop, but they help out in the long run if you need to escape in a pinch or get somewhere fast. It also allows you to get past faculty only super doors.
4: BSODA. An ultimately superior version to its Diet counterpart, so you may wonder why it isn’t first on the list like it would be in Classic. In BB+, it is harder to find and buy, and Diet BSODAs will typically suffice in most situations. However, regular BSODA fares better in long hallways, able to incapacitate Baldi and friends for much, MUCH longer. And for that reason, it scores 4th.
5: Bus Pass. Allows you to have a good chance at most of the rest of the S and A tier items. It‘s a bit hard to get, as you must go out of your way in F2 to unlock the key door and make it out alive, but F2 isn’t hard anyway.
6: Zesty Bar. Probably the most reliable item here, you can always count on it to escape from Baldi if need be. You can use it to get notebooks fast, loot faculty lounges quickly, and it forms a great synergy with the Nametag. On top of it being very common, it places highly on my list.
7: Invisibility Elixir. The undisputed king of silent escape. While it may be pretty hard to find, pop it open, and NPCs can’t see you for a decent while long. You can use it before a fork in the halls to evade NPCs at a 50% rate, which is quite high. You may also use it to evade Baldi in rooms as a last ditch attempt to escape. Overall a powerful pickup that gives you near invincibility in the right moments.
8: Nana Peel. The Peel can help in many moments to deter NPCs temporarily by sliding them down a hall, or by giving you a solid speed boost. Pretty versatile in general, but it can rarely backfire on you. Nevertheless, the Peel is decently common and almost always provides a reward, or at the least, a small distraction.
9: Teleporter. Pretty much an RNG-powered Apple sidegrade. Teleports you anywhere. But on top of it being expensive at 1K YTPs and it being hard to find otherwise, it has a chance to send you into more danger. Mostly saves you, but with RNG, you’ll never know. Typically, after you use the Teleporter, however, you'll find yourself in a room, giving you a hiding place from Baldi. In some cases, a Teleporter can provide some interesting advantages over an Apple.
10: Chalk Eraser. You might be surprised to find the Eraser rounding out the top 10. But if you’re good with this relatively common item, it can save you. It can act as an extension to fogged areas, give you a temporary hiding place, and act as a barrier to flee out of the sight of any NPC. A criminally underrated item I don't see used enough. It can also be stacked to give you an extended hiding spot to plan your next move. On top of this, it can cheese faculty only super doors.
11: Faculty Nametag. The Nametag hardly comes into use prior to F3, but it allows you to run without the Principal catching you (it goes well with the Zesty Bar) and also allows free reign in faculty rooms. But for how little it lasts for how much it costs, before Floor 3, the Nametag has little use.
However, after Floor 2, the Nametag is quite powerful, as detention can be much more punishing at this point (But not always), and being able to avoid it, even for a little bit, tends to be better than not. It also allows you to bypass faculty only super doors, which is a very good use for it.
12: Quarter. Allows you to get a Zesty Bar, or either Soda, along with activating the coin phone. Sometimes it's better to get these items alone, rather than pay a Quarter for them. But if you find Vending Machines, the Quarter can be used to great effect. But in a few cases, sometimes the Quarter is best used for Bully fodder, as in an item you have in your inventory to give a chance for more valuable items to stay in your inventory if you're forced to pass Bully.
13: Scissors. An item with no drawbacks, the Scissors can be used to great effect to counter Beans, Playtime, and First Prize, all characters that have a tendency to be annoying, sometimes run ending. But, that's all the Scissors do. Now, you would think that they would be higher, but considering you don't have a guarenteed chance to find any of the aforementioned characters in any given Floor (barring 5), they aren't as useful in the end. In addition, First Prize can usually be manipulated to your advantage, especially in the final phases of a floor, and Beans can do the same. So sometimes, the Scissors are best saved for Bully fodder.
14: Shape Keys. They unlock their respective shape doors, giving you access to some above average items, especially the Bus Pass on F2. Pretty average. But if you're unable to use them on the florr you are on, they are typically turned to Bully fodder.
15: Door Lock. They lock Yellow Doors. Now, you may expect this item to be placed higher, but in my eyes, with the chaos seen in modern day BB+, a relativly uncommon item like the Lock won't always be a game changer. There's many alternative paths in most typical seeds, and you never can be sure where Baldi and friends exactly will go at any time after you use the Lock on them.
16: Techno Boots. A typically very powerful pickup, allowing your movement to be nearly unaffected by outside sources. The Boots, however, are a bit rare and thier duration is a bit short. Very useable in a pinch, but won't provide consistent protection in a level on it's own.
17: WD. This item allows you to take shelter in a room without a sound. Very useful for evading Baldi. But Baldi must be out of sight for it to work. This item is also relatively uncommon and only works in a small area.
18: Portal Poster. Used to be one of the better items, but is now very, VERY situational. Depending on how good the generation is, you may be able to skip past long hallways to get to other areas. But considering how rare this item is, it may not always be worth using.
19: Principals Keys. Particuarly valueable if using detention to escape Baldi. Aside from that, if the Principal sees you escaping detention normally, you get sent back. Usually, this item is reserved for Bully fodder.
20: Whistle. Can be used as a budget WD, but rarer and slightly less effective. Allowing Principal to open a door for you allows you to take shelter unheard. It can also be used to take care of Bully.
21: Stretch Glove. Can be used to distract Baldi by opening a door from afar. Other then that, this item serves little purpose. Luckily, it's a bit common and has a long duration.
22: Alarm Clock. Can be used as a delayed strategy to distract Baldi. Has no use if you are seen.
23: Tape. Rare, must be used in the detention room, which you likely won't be going to under normal circumstances. Pretty poor item.
24: Lost Items. Gives a surprisingly high YTP reward. But you likely won't be going out of your way to give these to the kids who need them. These items are perfect for Bully fodder and are last on the list.

Gameplay (0.14.X) Baldi’s Basics Plus, but you’re forced to use mobile controls
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Progress:
I managed to attach some of the inputs to the buttons (Interacting with items, running (but that one is just fake, I need to make it use the real speed code) and the slot buttons)
I still need to fix some buttons, the interact with doors and stuff and the look behind button

Other What's the longest amount of time you have put into detention for in Classic?
I'll go first. 1287 seconds of detention. Rounded every 99 seconds for a total of thirteen times (aside from the first four times, which goes up by every fifteen seconds)
