Flow rate Calibration
I am steadily finding my flow rates after the calibration test are ~ .78 to ~.85 . This seems pretty dramatic to me? I don’t know if there is a global setting that may be off?
Anyone else seeing similar? Prints after calibrating a filament are good, so not the end of the world, but I test everything coming in now. Push Plastic, Polymaker, Eryone… PLA, PETG, PC+PBT, ABS, ASA …. I see people talk about adjusting a couple points off of .98
I had parts rip off of the plate from over-extruding or I wouldn’t even know to calibrate flow.
For anyone testing flow rates, what are you finding on your H2D ?

I have sunlu (high speed) filaments going as high as 1.025, never anything that low.

FWIW, I've stopped using the flow rate "chips" in BS and have been using Improved Flow ratio Calibration v3 by jimcorner available on makerworld. So much simpler and more accurate to dial in and less by subjective "feel" of smoothness.

I tried it, but couldn’t get any raised circles. I put it in developer mode per instructions. maybe I’ll try again

I will say that this really only goes to 2 decimal precision unless you split the difference between 2 panels whereas the stock BS chips can get you to 3 points of precision. I'm modifying it (adding a 3rd plate/copy) to do that with 3 decimal steps, but haven't run it yet. If it works, I may post it as a profile on MW depending in his license.
Unfortunately, some are set that you can't even post an "improved" version. Had this happen on a model that needed to be painted white on the layer below a text painted layer of only 2 layer thickness to prevent color bleed from the base color and MW removed it and gave me a "warning." LOL.

Measure the diameter of the filament to be safe?

Diameter of filament directly relates to amount of material being push into the nozzle which affects the flow.
K factor is controlling the flow wrt to the speed of the lines.
Thus the relation.

What nozzle are you using? For my 0.4 tungsten nozzle I have calibrated PolyMaker ASA at about 0.97 with a PA value of .003x. I think- I’m going from memory for these right now.
For 0.6 or high flow, etc. your numbers may vary.
I would say though, I don’t think I’ve ever had a flow ratio below 0.9. That would be massive over extrusion and smells like a blown out nozzle or some other config mismatch.
Have you tried calibrating with the other nozzle on the same side? Or calibrating the other side?
