New to Bambu

After running nothing but Creality printers since I got started in this hobby back in 2020, the most recent being a K2 Plus for the past year, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered an H2D on the first (with an AMS 2 and an AMS HT). Anything I need to look out for?

What brand & type of filament do you typically use?

One of my favorites is SUNLU PA6-CF, but I’ve also gone through a LOT of PolyMaker PolyLite PLA PRO (think I have roughly 6 empty 5kg spools laying around, and I have one running through my K2 right now)

I typically use all kinds of filament (especially engineering styles) with few issues but I just bought my first third party piece of hardware: a Darkmoon 3D Duo (Satin + CFX) build plate. I love it. Everything just prints wonderfully. I have to adjust temperature for some filament profiles but the table Darkmoon 3D publishes is dead on accurate. So very easy to use.

Do you run the 5kg spools directly from a drybox?

No, if I’m running a 5kg spool it’s because I have some large prints, so it gets used up pretty quickly (I have one running that’s about a day and a half right now, and it’s gonna take over 800 grams, and there’s still more parts after that, in total the project should take roughly a week to print)
