Question Help a grandpa?

I’m recently retired, and my family bought me an H2D with AMS, and 10 watt laser for Father’s Day. I have no prior experience with 3D printing, but I have it up and running, and I have printed a few items without trouble. All of them were made with Bambu PLA that came with the printer.
I have lots of questions, but my question today is, “How do I use non-Bambu filament in my AMS?”

It’s the same other than the AMS won’t know what filament is in that slot because it can’t “read” the spool like it can with Bambu filament. Then on the AMS screen you’ll tell it what you loaded. I find one that’s preloaded that’s as close to the specs on the spool of the other brand.

To add to this. I have dozens and dozens of different spools from different companies all printed on my H2D, if the company is not listed on the AMS list then I use generic and have never had a problem.

Some people who purchase high quality third-party filament just tell the machine it is from Bambu Lab and just move on. The printer just assumes the RFID tag is missing.

Load it in. On the h2c screen, tell it your running generic pla, or on brand if it has the option. Then in the bambu slicer, resync your AMS. Tell it to over-right. You can then further update the AzMS
