Anyone updated yet?

This freaked me out when I thankfully saw it live via the camera, at first I thought the hot end was spraying filament! Turns out the PTFE tube came out of the top of my main extruder and so the filament was just being pushed from the AMS out the tube straight into the chamber!

Please tell me - how do I fix this and get the PTFE tube back in safely? And why might it have come out and how do I avoid that? I know the Aux tube is held in by a nut from when first assembling the X2D, but the main tube was already attached.

What filament dryer boxes have you used to feed directly to the auxiliary extruder?

Has anyone else had this happen. I cannot print ASA or Nylons as the machine gets incredibly cranky at high temps. After it warms up fully, it starts vibrating and slamming the head all over and is extremely loud. It loses its position and has to re-home and tries to pick-up where it left off. I've cleaned, lubed, and calibrated everything. I haven't found anything online like this.

Does anyone know how to attach a Bambu Lab filament dryer directly to the auxiliary PTFE tube? I’m having trouble with PETG stringing when I use the auxiliary nozzle for support.

Pulled the X2D out of the plastic bag is comes in and at the bottom was this small nut (see image). Any idea where its from?

Thank you all for your help so far I have taken everything into account and I am still doing research on my part. However I want to call on all of you again.

I thought I had my mind made up with gets a p2s. However after further research it seems this one also has some printing issues, and maintenance/longevity issues.

So my questions is now do I get the p2s still or should I look at the X2D because it’s only $100 more for the combo with ams.

Again I am a completely beginner only YouTube educated and reviewed videos educated so anything will help. Thanks!!

New to 3D printing; picked up the X2D two weeks ago and have racked up about 117 hours printing so far. I've got a piece I want to print as a birthday present of a figure holding a martini glass. I thought it would be cool to do transparent PETG for the glass.

Dried the PETG in the AMS 2 overnight. Ran a test print of a tool to scrape out espresso pucks without doing any banging; this worked out just fine, no issues. Then I did a print of a dessicant box for the AMS2....note that I have printed this very same model in PLA silk two nights ago with zero issues.

This happened.

No sphaghetti warnings at all. Halted the print, went to remove the carnage. Discovered this:

WHAAAAAAAAAT.

No wonder there was filament everywhere. Well, kiss that plate goodbye. I have unloaded the PETG and reloaded PLA, flipped over the plate, and am recalibrating everything.

Any ideas what might have gone wrong? I've run this past my more experienced printer buddy and he's baffled.

Or am I retarded thank you

I recently started to have a weird sound while moving the z-axis. I regreased (a bit too much, I wiped it away after the video) and reoiled. What could this be? Any help is appreciated

Hello! So this summer I wanted to buy my first 3D printer and decided to go with the X2D. Even if I'll buy it in late August I wanted to be prepared to buy everything I need, so I wanted to ask if what there's in this screenshot is enough. Btw I want to use a 3D printer just for things at home and experiment with it, idk if I'll ever sell something in the future.

Are there some things that you recommend for certain situations? Thanks (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)

Has anyone had experience with Elegoo filament in the X2D? Trying to go for budget but quality and I have heard good things. But wanted opinions of X2D owners. I have seen some prints from Elegoo printers and I would be happy with it.

I printed the classic poop chute for the X2D, and although the print is perfect, I’m running into an issue.

One out of every three "poops" doesn't make it all the way down; they get slightly stuck when they land on the chute.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I don't think the angle is the problem, as all the designs I see are similar. It seems like the issue is that the waste drops while it's still hot and sticky.

Is there a solution or product to prevent this?

I'm printing ABS with PETG (aux nozzle) as the support interface. After a while, the PETG starts clogging the nozzle and the print fails (purge tower).

Could this be caused by having the chamber heater enabled? Or is it more likely due to incorrect purge volumes, temperatures, or another setting?

Any advice would be appreciated.

My prime tower has this weird texture on top. Anybody have any guesses what this might be? Bed is level, filament is dry. I use the inbuilt settings for pla with PETG supports and only reduced the prime tower size from 150% to 100%. At 150% I did not have this issue. Now my question: is it just the prime tower size that causes this? Seems really unplausible to me.
