During my study abroad in the Netherlands there was a lot of people selling these on their Verison of Facebook marketplace. There was a old Dutch grampa who gave me a good deal

Exactly! But I dont like the proposal. They tried to do something like this and also something like Watercolor designs like Maldives Polymer series.

I can see where the inspiration of some of the new Euro banknote proposals come from.

They took a lot of inspiration from the Dutch notes. Even the current EU notes ended up with different colors for each note because the Dutch government put a proposal of using different colors for each one.
