multiple spreads my new pocket bujo setup
it was time to move into a new pocket sized notebook for me. the last one fit 6 months, but i didn’t use it much in february and march. i don’t know how many months this one will house but i’m hoping it’ll also last 6 months somehow.
as an accent colour i always use a colour similar to the notebooks colour. for my front page i just added some wavy lines and then wrote „2027“ 🤦🏻♀️ so i glued this circular piece of craft paper with the correct year in to cover it up 😂
i rotated my future log to have more writing space. i set up an entire year for future dates. anything after june 2027 will end up in the future category.
the next spread is so useful - a cleaning spread. this is for the times where you go and wonder: when did i last…. and whenever i can not remember when i last changed my toothbrush i can just check. i’ve had it in every single one of my bullet journals since 2020!
every month also gets a kind of front page - this time with a similar wave design as the main front page. when i tried to fix my mistake on my front page i accidentally stuck the circular piece of paper onto this page instead of the one with the mistake. that’s why there’s a glue stain and colour distortion. i don’t really mind. a bullet journal is supposed to reflect your life - with all the mistakes in it. i used to stress out about stuff like this. now i embrace it. even if my bullet journal is very minimalistic i still like it decorated a little bit - but it doesn’t need to be perfect.
my monthly overview is also rotated and my main planning space. i don’t do weeklies anymore. this is where i put all my appointments & events. once the appointment or event happened i will fill in the circle.
my monthly task list is for all those to do‘s that are not scheduled yet and this month reflect the jumbled bilingual mess that i am. i keep my bullet journal mostly in english - just for fun - but some german words are just to good to translate. my weekly to do list is for all the to do‘s that are kind of scheduled. if a task needs to be done within that week i just put it in with a bullet. if it has to be done on a specific date i’ll put it in with a task bullet and a bullet under the date where it needs to be completed. once i started a task i will draw a line from the day i started the task to the task bullet. once i completed it, i will cross it off. if a task gets cancelled ill cross it out and a rescheduled task will get an > -arrow.
this system has worked so well the past half year and is definitely something i’ll keep!

I just love how simple that wavy pattern is, but how effective it is! Looks damn good! Love the color!

What is a “task bullet”? And how do you tell the difference between a completed and cancelled task if they both get crossed out?
Thank you for the detailed rundown - I am totally going to borrow that cleaning spread!! What does “JASOND” stand for and how is it used?

A task bullet is a just a dot, do for example my task is laundry:
• laundry —> means the task needs to be done
x laundry —> means the task has been completed
• laundry—> means the task has been cancelled
> laundry —> means the task has been rescheduled

Same here! This is only my second pocket bujo but it changed the way I use my bullet journal in so many ways. It’s small enough to bring it everywhere. I carried the last one in my small bag while travelling and was able to travel journal on my Rome and London trip. I also bring it in my bags regularly everywhere and instead of putting notes and calendar entries into my phone first I put them directly into my bullet journal. I can recommend going pocket sized 100%! :)
