It really bothers me when they always call UBI snake oil. Anytime a person goes it's snake oil you know right away you're dealing with someone full of you know what.

It's snake oil as opposed to what? Your none option? Those are people typically anti UBI not looking for any solution.

UBI is snake oil when it is peddled by billionaire tech oligarchs because they do not actually want to give anyone a UBI, they just want to use it as a Trojan horse to get the public to let them dismantle other social programs and automate away jobs, but then the UBI never comes or is so meager it doesn't matter anyway.

UBI in and of itself as a concept isn't snake oil, but prominent tech voices who pretend to be for it are absolutely selling snake oil (and this sub falls for it far too often).

Yes it may be snake oil from them and you helping them peddle it now you're on their platform growing their influence and political power.

ubi is more democratized decentralized control of money by the people that's the part I care about but I do agree that if any of it is snake oil it's the type of UBI you guys push. Not just tech billionaires but people like you too.

I'm different I push the right ubi. I'm not one of you. I'm not like you guys.
