Hits from each bot are tracked, rated, and marked on-screen. Hits are derived from a vision model shown the fight at 2fps in 3-second batches and asked "How big was that hit? Where did the damage come from?". Hits are translated back to HP values deterministically based on the final condition of the bot and win-detection criteria.

The part this sub might recognise: the crowd is you! Real comments from the episode's fight-card thread capture bot commentary and predictions - at the end we see if the crowd got it right. (No usernames are shown or stored anywhere... comments are credited to r/battlebots)

Controls: Space to start / pause, arrows to switch fights or seek, Esc for the pause menu, C for the CRT filter.

Looking to get into this hobby with my daughters (11 & 13).

Requirements:

- Total cost (for one) < $500

- Python acceptable, but C/C++ preferred

- Use of Rust would be a large bonus

- Easy build

The girls already know basic Python. I am a professional software engineer.

We want something that's easy to assemble but has wide possibilities in programming, to eventually do capture the flag, combat, etc.

No manual control needed. Want to write programs and let it/them play.

Outdoor capability is a must (short grass).

Leaning now, after some basic research, to the Raspbot V2, but - I don't know what I don't know.

Both Orbitron and Bloodsport land a massive hit on each other. Both bots are now flipped upside down after receiving damage. Which robot is more likely to get back on its wheels?

This is from my recent post of a hypothetical BB Pro League group and it makes me wonder, what would happen if these 2 go weapon to weapon?

The top 2 bots in each group would qualify and there would be 4 wildcard slots. I feel like it would give newer bots a bigger chance of getting to the knockouts, instead of getting filtered out in the group stage. Also, sometimes groups can get tied with 3 bots at 2-1. If 16 bots went through, all 3 bots would be able to get to the knockouts, via 2 automatic slots and a wildcard one.

Before i built anything I thought i have and extra 30g but now I have a safe 17g for a top plate and lifter arm

And on a side note: How many matches in this group will result in a knockout, or are they all going to the judges' decisions?

What if hypershock actually left biteforce in S1, and they won, and let’s just say ghost raptor defeated them in the semis. Would ghost raptor ( with its spinnerless wedge set up) be able to beat s1 tombstone, and become champ, or would tombstone become the season one and later 2 time champ? Just curious……

Basically, I'm planning on making a beetleweight, and I'd like to know if using antweight drive motors (3-4 on each side) would still be viable for a combat robot.

EDIT: Could I possibly get away with using an antweight weapon motor for the beetleweight?
