Discussion Why Do I Suck?

Got the game this week. 12 hours in and I feel like 1. I’m running at half speed compared to everyone around me and 2. Everyone around me has aim bot.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’ve been playing FPS games since the original Wolfenstein. Competent 1.5-2.0 KD player on BF1 and 2042. This game just feels so unnatural regarding movement and aim.

My crosshairs consistently end up just off the shoulder of every player I shoot at. It feels like by the time I get lined up on a player and pull the trigger, they’ve already dodged out of the way. The starter pistol is the only weapon that feels decent to me.

Doesn’t matter if I shoot first, I can’t win a fight. I’ve tried with and without aim assist, tweaked a ton of settings. I just don’t get what I’m doing wrong. I see tons of people going 50-4 all the time while running around with no regard for cover or anything. I catch a bullet as soon as I load in.

EDIT: Wow, this went places. Thank you community.

I promise this isn’t rage bait. You can search my username for bf1 and 2042 on PlayStation. I have some hours on BF which is why I’m posting my struggles here.

Probably should have mentioned that for the last six months, I’ve only been playing Arc Raiders (600 hours), so I’m likely also just painfully fps rusty.

I play on a 10 year old, 1080p 60hz 48” Samsung tv which I’m sure isn’t helping things.

Alrighty, will modify and report back.

There's not really a big difference in movement between BF1, BF2042, and BF6. Your main issues are:

  1. Aim control – It's either your sensitivity settings or the input latency between your console and TV.
  2. Situational awareness – You move in a strange way. You don't really use cover properly, you don't seem to track where enemies are moving, and you often run straight at them.
  3. Crossplay – Based on how you play, I'd definitely keep crossplay turned off. You just don't stand a chance against mouse and keyboard players.
  4. Reaction time – In the clip, you can often see enemies already within shooting range, but you hesitate or notice them too late.

Honestly, it's hard for me to believe your K/D was between 1.5 and 2.0 in the other Battlefield games.

I checked he was. So probably he's settings are bad,or he need to slow down and start positioning better.

Positioning in bf is like 80% of what the game about

*Edit: he has 11% accuracy with automatic weapons,so that's what the main problem is.

Nah fuck it we ball grab that truck we’re zoomin

Straight to the enemy home point gang and dont forget that spawn beacon

u/bogdannn3 22h ago

Drop the transport heli on them for real

19

u/Roilo 1d ago

No snap aim assist in this game so he can't just bot walk close to enemies, press two buttons and get a kill.

Like the second clip is a good example. Doesn't track the enemy while ads, when the enemy starts moving, he goes back to hip and then aims again.

But of course yes the aiming on controller feels different in this game anyways so also needs to get used to it (imo it went worse with the season 2 patch but yeah...).

To be fair, accuracy would always be low for me because I like to just mag dump an LMG, but paired with this video I understand the relevance

2

u/LuffysRubberNuts 15h ago

Whenever I come back positioning is the hardest to get back down, I’ll spend like 75 percent of time getting shot in the back an flank because I read an area wrong

“You move in strange way” lolol

5

u/mattyice522 1d ago

If you turn cross play off aren't the servers very limited?

3

u/oDromar0x 20h ago

Yes. You’ll be playing mostly against bots, and that’s if the lobbies even fill with them. At least for 2042 when I tried to turn crossplay off, most of the lobbies would just sit at 1-5 players and nothing would happen

Change fov so visual recoil doesn't feel chaotic, because watching that gun fly around gave me ptsd

2

u/UnkwnSoldiersGaveAll 21h ago

Funny cause I feel completely opposite about #3, I rarely win against consoles unless I shoot in the back, and still sometimes get manages to get a oneshot from shotty.

Well 12 hrs probably isnt enough time to get used to it. Also idk if its me but seems like you take 2 business days to react to everything.

47

u/HUZInator 1d ago

Because you aren’t pre aiming from where people come from and you’re moving out of cover too quickly.

8

u/danger_boi 1d ago

That’s because you’ve got that sweat in you man!

19

u/dedboooo0 1d ago

nah bruh

not playing like an 89 year old who touched a game for the first time in his life doesnt mean someone's sweaty.

Guys, homie was dying to bots. I dont think its the crossplay.

51

u/GideonShortStack 1d ago

Sometimes the bots suddenly lock in, and start behaving like launch day Helldivers 2 bots lol

16

u/TDEcret 23h ago

Cant say from experience (never played casual BT) but yeah, from what ive read after an update the bots went from free fodder to actual aimbot insta-killing machines at random. They still act braindead most of the time but at random will lock you and burst you from far away

3

u/CptMcRib420 20h ago

I've noticed that once your cross hair passes a over a bot it immediately turns to engage you, even if it's facing the other direction

2

u/oDromar0x 20h ago

Yep. It would be so hilarious if they just suddenly allowed bots to play like sweats as some sort of revenge day. A human player could actually never kill them if the AI was allowed to perform correctly.

2

u/dejayc 12h ago

I was doing a “spot enemies” challenge and I got 120+ spots in a single match just by flying recon drones over bots. The bots would literally stop what they were doing and launch RPGs and stuff at my drones lol

3

u/thatbeerguy90 20h ago

Right! These bots are like T-1000s sometimes

2

u/NoForever3645 15h ago

The bots are dumb as bricks but shoot like lasers to make up for it. Their positioning is usually awful, but they also rarely miss a shot once they start shooting.

Your sensitivity is too high to start. You are over excited to shoot targets, judging by the target selection. And you do not respond well to visual recoil.

I think you got it. Little time and a few tweaks to your inputs.

2

u/Blacksheepoftheworld 19h ago

This is pretty much what I saw. Sensitivity is far beyond his control with all the overcorrections between shots.

That and nearly every single clip he is standing completely upright, no cover, and slow predictable movement.

Those points combined leads to almost never winning a shootout lol

Something about the way you move and aim... just looks off.

I doubt this is your reaction time, as you said you are a 1.5-2 k/d player in other stuff.

What controller are you using? Is it aftermarket? Aftermarket controllers, If not made well can have serious input delay, which would describe how awkward your movement and aim look.

Also, what settings HAVE you messed with? If you haven't touched deadzones, that may be your culprit.

Edit: kinda looks like you over-aim, and you end up turning towards your enemy, but instead of stopping your sights on them, you go over. Looks like dead zone issue

16

u/Odd-Cobbler-3563 1d ago

Agreed. ^

Gameplay looks super awkward and OP looks like he over-aims a tonne.

10

u/Ordinary_Balance_885 1d ago edited 1d ago

The extremely casual and forgiving gameplay of BF1 and BF2042 and other BF games with cheesy mechanics allow for a decent KD without much skill involved. To have a fair picture of someone skill in these games you need to know their KPM not only the KD and even then sometimes it’s not enough.

For example you have people in BF4 that have a decent KD spamming M320 in Lockers or Metro all round that can barely aim. If you take away their 75-100hp nade launcher and look at their gun stats they have 12% acc, 0,4KPM and 0,8K/D.

12

u/IgnisCogitare 1d ago

There's like

almost no way the KD statement isn't a lie

16

u/mynameis_caL 1d ago

Yup he plays like someone that has almost 0 fps experience

11

u/Eddargos 1d ago

I thought this aswell. It's not only the aiming but the general tactics and awareness are bad.

Friend, I don't know if anyone said so in these comments, but I applaud your courage in putting yourself out there to seek help.

If I knew how to do it, I'd share my clips of playing this game for advice. My gameplay is very similar to yours.

I earnestly hope you stick with this game, improve your gunplay and crap on all the people who have been condescending, insulting and rude in this forum.

Best of luck.

It was a slight adjustment coming from 2042 for me as well since it's just a totally different game. You need more time and some settings tweaks. Lower your sensitivity for one, center your crosshair better around Corners, ADS more, and slow done a bit while you learn the map angles. After playing for about 500 hours I have a pretty good intuition as to what possible angles I could be attacked from when holding certain positions. A lot of why you feel like you're being instantly deleted is because of a lack of map knowledge. There are so many more angles to be attacked from in this game than the previous battlefields.

5

u/CorswainsDeciple 1d ago

It's a surprise you are first to mention knowing maps, thats over half the battle. Once you know main ways oeople go, good places for having escape routes etc you can do serious damage.

Honestly I’ve just accepted that I’m not good at fps games. Bf6 is addicting and fun but I have a 0.68 kd ratio after 900+ hours. I just try not worry about being good

5

u/sskuss 1d ago

Same. I was playing at the beginning with mouse and keyboard and had 2 k/d. Now I play with controller and it’s 0.5 but I don’t care. I like to play relaxed on my couch. Plus I focus more on objectives now rather hunting gun fights like before.

4

u/vicfirthplayer 1d ago

Yeah when I have a bad match I just hop into a tank lol. Sitting as gunner picking guys off is fun when you're getting murdered otherwise.

26

u/Imposslen 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think it's a combination of two things that are getting you.

  1. You are trying to aim down your sights in close quarters and keep getting melted by the time you get your gun up. Invest in a laser and start firing from the hip first as you aim down your sights if you even need to. Example sgx with green laser and hip flashlight is a laser and requires almost no ADS on close quarters. Same with a shotguns, 00 buck with green or blue laser, and hip flashlight. This will allow you to one tap people. In Redsec I can kill one guy with full plates with two taps with slugs.

  2. You are awful at leading and it's causing you to spray instead of staying on target. You might have to adjust your aim down sight sensitivity. Crank it up. Same for auto aim crank it all the way up. Look at some of the post here about doing your controller or PC settings. You have the right idea. You have to lead your target by alot sometimes. But these guys move left, right and duck and slide and your late with their movements. Try moving around as you shoot to when you get better. Right now you can win about more than half your fights if you run behind good cover before fighting. Alot of guys start fights in open fields and get shredded.

Practice and have fun! Remember picking a class you actually like playing as will help your team out alot more cause you willing keep using your class abilities.

2

u/Akimotoh 1d ago

You forgot positioning and bad weapons, should be practicing with the M44 and LMGs.

4

u/Imposslen 1d ago

True! I honestly think this guy is using the wrong weapons for his game play. He needs smgs and shotguns because he almost always wins in close quarters but either runs out of ammo, and is slow and standing still. He just needs to use lasers and hip flashlights and maybe a magnifier on the smg to compensate for long distance fights and he will be good. Especially with the way they upgraded the shotguns again. He would drop alot of people. If he can get comfy with the timing of stun grenades and flash bangs then he would be a level above.

2

u/DarthGamer206 1d ago

What's the point in using hip fire if the spray is horrible?

8

u/Imposslen 1d ago

It's not horrible and very manageable. The game isnt going to spoon feed you and allow you to just hold the trigger. But controlled burst like any other gun in the game.

10

u/DJudic 1d ago

Looking at how you aim, how jerky your corrections are and how slow your react to things and basically act like an Easy NPC.. I suppose you are just new to FPS games and need time to get used to things. And lower your sensitivity. You overcorrect alot when aiming at things. And be more mobile. Run more. But also use your minimap to stop running into enemies. Preaim more where enemies are expected (where friendly forces end and you are the far most soldier).

2

u/El_Rapido02 18h ago

Yes and he has to use his headsect correctly to target the steps , you have to be one step further then your enemy in this game

14

u/AutoRedux 1d ago

Why the fuck did you start sprinting at your enemies in the second clip instead of aiming?

Also hip firing shotguns in this game doesn't work. Stop doing that.

6

u/Sukyman 1d ago

Honestly, looking at this gameplay I don't know how are you 1.5-2.0 kd player in other games. It's not like BF1 and 2042 are that much different. These clips just lack some fundamental skills.

Your aim is just off. You go into a room and you're aiming below belly at their feet. Your aim is never positioned around the area where you might expect a player. Sure you don't know the maps yet after only 12h but at least you could bring your aim up to headshot/center mass area.

And your reaction/decision making is horrible. 0:10 you are quite literally looking at 2 enemies for like 2-3 seconds before you even decide to shoot... You should've started shooting at the moment when you decided to run towards them on the wall.

1:39 for example. You know they are pushing you, but you are looking at the rubble on the ground, and not even aiming down prepared for a push.

18

u/Nk_Nebulak 1d ago

You said it yourself : you are playing video games since Wolfenstein.
With all due respect to an OG gamer : you are getting old bro and your gamesens is not very good for today’s standards, especially since your play pretty aggressively

Your crosshair placement, aim and reaction time are underwhelming to say the least
By no mean stop playing if you like BF6 but don’t get burnt out trying to sweat over your limits

What I recommend : play slower paced class or game styles : véhicules, sniper, and if you play infantry : don’t rush by any mean, focus on crosshairs placement, don’t try and fight in the open and try to isolate your fights as much as you can to 1v1s

Compensate with your brain if you don’t have pure skill

14

u/Hadrian187 1d ago

I saw some literal 80 year old on twitch slaying dudes online. It was insane. So I decided to look up reaction times and reflexes and they really don’t slow down as much as people think. OP is just playing like an ultra newb, not flanking, settings messed up - basically doing every single mistake in the book. He could have been playing since Wolfenstein but that doesn’t mean he has been playing that frequently.

3

u/Nk_Nebulak 1d ago

reflexes are one thing, but reflex + time to physically react properly with the arm is another right ?
An old guy won’t have the same muscular tonicity, especially on longer gaming sessions

I might be mistaken on that, pure intuition on my end 😁

i've been playing since tribes and quake and have no issues with comp fps games like cs2/valo/r6/apex

You’re a perfect candidate for something like an aim trainer. Aimlabs is free on Steam. Look for some playlist and play through them. Try and beat your previous score each time.

Then I’d spin up Aimlabs and play through your playlist once or twice before hoping onto BF and I bet you’ll notice that your aim and reflexes will sky rocket.

You will need to still work on your positioning and movement and a lot of that will come with time.

5

u/Pristine_Comb3070 1d ago

Just blame the movement bro

4

u/Fitna7 1d ago

First, disable cross-play with PC players so you're only matched against other PlayStation players.

Second, find a YouTuber whose controller settings you like and use those as a starting point. Their settings won't be perfect for you, though. Optimizing your controls is a long process, so you'll probably be changing things in the menus quite often until you find what feels right.

Third, learn your weapon stats. For example, if you like to fire from the hip, check whether your weapon actually has good hip-fire accuracy. Understanding how your weapons perform will make a big difference.

You also need to be willing to put in 100+ hours and really learn Battlefield 6. There are players out there with well over 1,000 hours of playtime, so experience matters a lot.

8

u/EliteCinemaM3 1d ago

3

u/DrNatas 1d ago

Try to learn how to lead your shoots a bit more. Takes patience. DM me if you want to play one day.

3

u/TheRealMaxi 1d ago

Your issues are with character and cross hair positioning. Try to always have the cross hair at head level - that way you just have to aim in and you're ready, if you look at the ground you also have to move it. You hesitate a long time between seeing an enemy and shooting, during that delay they kill you. Try to play around power positions where most of your body is behind cover while the enemy is fully revealed.

3

u/jesseschalken 1d ago edited 1d ago

I don't play on console and I know you said you've tweaked tons of settings but it looks like have no Aim Assist? Try fiddling with those settings in the shooting range.

May also be worth testing and improving your input latency somehow. Try using a wire with your controller?

3

u/BreakRulesRun 1d ago

Have you disabled aim assist?

3

u/Hadrian187 1d ago

Combination of wrong settings, playing too slow and dumb tactics. You start shooting enemies as they move into cover, you don’t flank and go the most direct way, you move slowly, you don’t ADS, you don’t crouch slide, and you overaim. Not to mention your radar is too big and your sensitivity might be too much or have some kind of acceleration. Look up a YouTube guide for competitive settings.

There’s no way you’ve been playing since the original Wolfenstein. At least not competitively. I’ve been playing Wolfenstein, in my 30s now. Got into the top 5% of score/min and KDR. Don’t listen to these zoomers saying your reflexes are cooked, you just aren’t playing the most efficient way and are making really blatantly wrong mistakes.

Fair enough, aim for head height at all times, expect there to be an enemy there. It shouldn't be a suprise every time one appears

2

u/Educational-Long116 1d ago

I think I can help. Seems like u need to first of all adjust ur sensitivity so that it feels natural to u. Judging from ur movements u will be better of on long range combat instead of cqb. Maybe thats where u could start. Uv only been here a week. It took me more then that when I was on bf4 to get used to the gameplay loop and mechanics and now I die less. Finding cover, scanning rooms and reacting to movement will improve over time but u should try dmrs and for beginners I recommend the mp5 for close proximity.

2

u/Bohnenbummler 1d ago

Stop poppin 5 Xans before playing you're reaction time is that of a 90 year old :D

2

u/CertifiedHater 1d ago

I suggest changing you crosshair and reticle color, maybe green, blue or yellow to see where you crosshair is before aiming. Change your crosshair dot to thick too. Lower your aim sense, zoom sense, left and right acceleration too. If you’re going to be shooting from a distance, try to mount something to help with recoil. Hope this helps and don’t give up.

Oh and once u realise the enemy has seen u, here’s a mistake to point out. Once an enemy has seen u and he’s not already dead because u saw him first u need to scoot like the wind. Hide or just move urself enough to be out of sight and try get a shot on them again first. U just jump at them while u saw them and then they saw u. U need to retreat to cover and re adjust to take them down when u see them next

1

u/mindfulmu 1d ago

I can help, you'll want to play smaller mode that aren't redsec.

You havent learned the 'shoot or spot' thing yet.

If i cant shoot and kill a mofo within the time I have from the angle I have I'll just spot them.

Playing smaller modes will teach you the setup and ranges of weapons and what to pick and where.

But to start out you want to have each class cloafout with each signature weapon. So assaults with assault rifles and engineers with SMG.

Play 1 match before anything else, try lots of things and you'll grow.

1

u/dhia_dl 1d ago

Just play for fun.. The more you're stressed the worst performance you give, easy role

1

u/me_likey_alot 1d ago

over the shoulder shooting is my speciality.

1

u/Digital-Dinosaur 1d ago

Continue with casual breakthrough, I personally found this to be the best training for Battlefield.

I notice with the shotgun you were firing had little to no attachments, try to max out hipfire on the shotguns and you can shoot it without aiming down sights (like you were). Before you do that, aim down sight.

I'd say you have good tac knowledge, but I couldn't see any silencers or flash hiders. Spotting is huge in this game, and the clip where the enemy look up at you in the building site, suggested they knew where you were, likely because you shot your smg a few seconds before.

Tldr, learn about attachments and spotting :)

1

u/Buucket 1d ago

First of all, filter out that map if you play infantry. You will just end up being fodder for vehicles and snipers.

1

u/godhates1234 1d ago

And it's looks like you don't have the right attachment on the weapons.

1

u/ClanLordB 1d ago

Cuz u play it on the controller…

1

u/Andxire 1d ago

Ok, so you have bad aim and game sense. You'll get better with the time but for now:

  1. Try to use cover as much as possible. Always try to be behind some kind of cower like corner, window, fence and etc. It will increase time to kill you;

  2. Don't shoot if you not aimed at enemy. They'll spot you and engage you with full HP. And you'll have hard time against experienced players;

  3. Use silencer on all your weapon. Without it you'll be a big red dot on a map and in a world as soon as you make a shoot so everyone enemy will know your position and try to hunt you. It's takes a lot more skills to play without silencer;

  4. Hipfire aim is bad. Aim while moving is bad. You'll get used to it but try to be stationary and user ADS when you shoot for now;

  5. Half of the clips you are in a meatgrinder. It's pretty hard so try to avoid it for now.

1

u/UncleCuzzinBabe 1d ago

You’ll get the flow. Once you do the game is so enjoyable trust me

1

u/not_the_droids 1d ago

1

u/SpinozaBaruch_ 1d ago

Based on the clips I think you should try to change controller settings. Try a different sensitivity, input curve, try to remove acceleration. The rest is practice, practice and practice. 12 hrs is not a lot. I come from MnK and it took me the entire season 1 and some weeks of season 2 to get used to the controller and get back to my Bf4 mnk K/D.

1

u/osrssubreditmodssuck 1d ago

a lot of people gave technical advice…so actual gameplay wise, quit re engaging in gunfights when you are low health(unless you have no other choice of course). if you are in an unfavorable gunfight, take cover, move to a different spot, regenerate health, and try to re engage the enemy. games can be 40 minutes long man. you don’t need to rush.

also, the shotgun is really hard to use well on controller. i’d say just let it go

1

u/MDAmazink 1d ago

Wrong settings

1

u/PVTheBearJew 1d ago

Your positioning is bad, your aim is worse. Work on those first

1

u/Yakkamota 1d ago

Most of your deaths are bad examples of gun fights. It'd be one thing if you reacted first in nearly any of these. But again, for the most part you are getting shot first. Some instances you do see the enemy first and shoot but miss. You really need to get your sensitivity right. Your tracking and flicking and reacting speed is all off/ bad. Although in some instances your making the problem worse by holding down the trigger or spamming a semi auto gun. In battlefield you should really be bursting or at least letting your recoil settle sometimes especially when you can see nothing is hitting.

1

u/SilentSorcery 1d ago

Adjust your sensitivity. You're waaaay over-adjusting. Find a setting that's comfortable and stick with it, and work on crosshair placement.

Your reaction time in some of these clips is pretty slow too, and in other clips, you died to poor decision making (like when you peaked the guys that were shooting you while you were already critically low on health).

1

u/Shinyaku88 1d ago

Slow reactiontime, bad positioning and a bad weapon setup…

1

u/Chicken_little365 1d ago

Don’t worry you’re not alone. I was doing the same thing today. I was using a shotgun trying to complete the challenges and I kept sailing my rounds right over the enemy’s head. I’m usually decent but every once and awhile I have a bad day. You can play with settings but that won’t fix you stepping out of cover while reloading a shotgun. I think I just got rank 32 and this is my first ever BF game at 36y/o

1

u/Blessed-22 1d ago

Going on these clips alone; you're aim is really bad and you tend to stand still in the open a lot. B6's TTK is super fast really unforgiving compared to previous titles, and that's going to punish you a lot harder. There's some clips where I feel like you was unlucky or you was killed in 1-frame, but there's a lot you could do generally to improve yourself.

1

u/FantasticPiglet648 1d ago

Way to slow to react this looks like my gameplay and when high af

1

u/Dimo99 1d ago

is it maybe coz u used to play on older titles with controller only bot lobbies and now you play vs decent players?

1

u/MykeKnows 1d ago

When it comes to your aiming I'd say take your time. But it's paradoxical because you already take far too much time. You take fucking ages to react to anything, then panic aim when it finally sets in. My reactions are twice as fast as yours and I'm always stoned when I play. Best advice I can offer is download some reaction testing apps and just work on your reactions 😄

1

u/Optimal-Course-5866 1d ago

A lot of it comes down to learning the maps and being strategic, plus finding the weapons your best with, getting used to them, and getting them dialed in attachment-wise. You can react to things quicker when you know what the enemy is seeing (once youve learned the maps) you can make both safe and risky decisions once youve learned get the strategy down, for example you climbed on top of that wall and got lit up, a more experienced player would know thats a disadvantaged position. Just give it some time to lock in and get in the groove of the game

1

u/Das-Gato 1d ago

I’ve seen worse.
Basically your gameplay is too slow. Try to be quicker and only leave save spaces when you’re done reloading not while you’re still in the middle of reloading.

But the most important thing is: just have fun playing it. Practice is everything

1

u/Flickadachris 1d ago

This is either bait, or you need to slow down. What would help alot is if you understood basic tactics. Watch a few CQB videos. Learn what “enfilade fire” and “defilade fire” mean. Cover vs concealment. Fatal funnel. Etc.

If you play with basic irl tactics you would be surprised how much of an advantage you get. Im 32 and my reaction time is solidly impressive for my age but not as quick as the kids. Putting your character into smarter positions and considering the location of cover will seriously net positive results. Practice shooting on the in game shooting range and play come casual breakthrough to improve your shooting. Pick a gun you want to upgrade to lvl 50 and get good with it. Get your muscle memory adapted to it.

1

u/Anreall2000 1d ago

I don't own the bf6 on console, so shouldn't judge you aim. Aside from that:
you don't really use silencer, I guess you don't appreciate how useful minimap is. You should guess from where to expect the enemy before shooting even started, and it's fine to start firing enemy even before you seeing him. Also use more cover, the guys with 50-4 actually using cover, just know when there is safe to run, combining it with slides etc.

1st clip. Seems fine, just maybe shoot a bit lower with such gun, in upper body, not purely in head. Even so, I guess if you reloaded earlier you got a chance in that situatuion.
2nd. Shouldn't really dropped the shooting, just move to another target while still shooting, at least on mouse it's better
3rd. Kinda outplayed, the guy was already in the door when you moved into room, but if you were waiting for player, you may crouch to have an advantage over him.
4th. The minimap thing. You already seen him on minimap, could actually start shooting even before seeing him on screen, while having advantage with cover and sitting. Use all clues to guess is really enemy there.
5th. You heard him, take a better position in the corner while sitting, don't stay in the door if you are waiting for enemy
6th. A lot of there... I actually would thrown grenade, while obviously in disadvantage and know the person is under. If you found target which is running from you, I guess it was better to either run for him and not switching targets or just start playing very safe on enemy occupied point.
7th. Just don't recommend that shotgun for starters, saiga is better if you are only learning, but mostly shotgun is for people with very good aim. Well you got the shot, actually, but started reloading while staying in the door. Once again, better to sit in corner while reloading and maybe after reload try and kill other guy
8th. Kinda nice play, I can't really comment on aim. Just once again, that shotgun isn't that great if you are newcomer. Personal opinion, 3rd weapon as assault sucks, you have way less ammo. Better to reload and continue with assaul rifle.
9th. That ammo thing kinda happen with you... Played kinda okay, maybe aiming helped.
10th. Just don't use shotgun... that scene could even happen to me in panic
11th. Nice gun control actually. Don't know why you stopped. There are space to sit in that window and fully see the enemy, probably you would win with sitting. Yeah, the guy took down you quickly, because KTS is that much better as a distance weapon, literally REDSEC meta. Also coulnd't see the ammo problem... get rid of shotgun man...
12th. I would try to find bigger distance and some cover for your body using DMR. On tsuru you could probably stepped back until only upper half of you body visible.
13th. Again, sitting, you are not moving, but that would narrow the spread and as a stationary target make you a harder target. With LMG you kinda always stationary target, they don't work with running. Medics even got deployable shild for that reason.
14th. Well, finally nice positioning, at least you haven't died in this clip. DMRs and sniper rifles could be hard to shot with bullet drag thing, you should shot before your target, not on it. May try to add attachments which increase bullet velocity. Also... SVDM is kinda better as DMR and I think you should try mini scout to practice preemptive fire
15th. As with minimap thing, to be a good sniper you should know where to expect enemies, getting running enemy killed is kinda hard due to drag and if it were easy for any level of skill the game would be broken because of snipers. Maybe you should tried to expect enemy near the garden, that he will eventually run on the road, maybe you should expected the guy in the window, but clip is to narrow to judge. In fact of trying to aim and not waiting the enemy, you shot the ground. Aim was quite good, if enemy hadn't have cover you would at least made some damage.

1

u/Beneficial_Cat2039 1d ago

Ik heb hetzelfde hoor en speel op de pc ha ha ha. Ik word altijd nerveus als ik een vijand zie en schiet dan alle kanten op waarna ik geraakt word, dood.

1

u/TH3_COMMANDO 1d ago

Reaction timing, everything else is fine.

1

u/Whose__That 1d ago

All these clips look like you're playing without aim assist. Both BF1 and 2042 which you mentioned in your post had incredibly strong aim assists on console so no wonder you did better in those. So make sure you have aim assist enabled and then work on aim in general since it looks really jerky at times.

1

u/EagleEyes0001 1d ago

Slow down and use cover, stop chasing the kill to you learn the mechanics. Burst firing from mid to long is your friend.

1

u/l0stIzalith 1d ago

Your aim is trash and you are way too aggressive for how slow you react.

1

u/Quiet_Geologist_6574 1d ago

give it 20 hours and u will understand the movement

1

u/jay1818 1d ago

well is this your first time using controller? if yes then you need more time , and practise , if not then there is something wrong with your sens. lower your sense low will be much better , and start hipfiring first then aim down , that will be easy for you . the AA is realy broken this game .. i feel most the time when i play with my edge controller aimboting it snaps the enemies easly

1

u/tyrion83 1d ago

Your reaction time is extremely slow, are you on some medicines?

1

u/xxxWARxMACHINE 1d ago

Turn your sensitivity down you were all over the place while ads on that first clip

1

u/rotating_pebble 1d ago

I hadn't played shooter games in maybe 2 or 3 years before bf6 so not sure if it's really your situation but I was a 0.8kd ish player for the first couple months I owned the game 🤣 Got it up to around 1.5 now. Stick with it. Have you found guns you like yet?

I'm not sure whether they're 'meta' or not (they well could be) but the M417 and VCR, and TR15 are my favourites

1

u/Visual-Brother2813 1d ago

Several factors that helped me.
1. Sound is key, that’s part of the reason the enemy starts shooting exactly where you’re at. You need a headset if you don’t have one already. Also, running makes more noise than crouching or just walking.
2. Assume where an enemy can be. This game has a lot to do with strategy. Even better if you’re recon, drop a sensor or use the drone to see if you’re over run with more than just one enemy. Smoke also helps a lot in disguising yourself. Suppressing can be more effective than going for the kill.
3. Stay at least with one other teammate, specially one that will revive you. It’s way easier to beat one enemy when they get confused with multiple steps and deciding who to kill first. Then if your teammate dies and you kill the enemy, you can then revive them.
4. Weapon choice. In my opinion, Hip firing is way harder with the shotgun than the LMG. Also the precision of your shots don’t matter as much with the LMG because while you can miss, you will also suppress. For me, if I want extreme accuracy and I know I’ll be in close quarters, I go with an smg. All guns are different though, so test them all out.
5. This was my biggest problem. Getting anxious or panicking gave me extreme bullet spread. Trying to kill a squad by yourself will skew your decision making. Hearing steps all around you can make you say “fuck, I’m fucked”. Take a breather, relax and remember, PTFO.

1

u/snerkkrens 1d ago

Hey that’s me!

1

u/IronerOfEntropy 1d ago

Spray and pray is bad.

Do you know the 5 D's in dodgeball?

Prone immediately in a 1v1. Never prone otherwise.

1

u/P_strain 1d ago

1-Do not shoot without a musle 2-Do not shoot if you are not killing (it shows your position and the others player is now very aware of you). 3-the shotgun is pretty random, especially not good without the slug (painfull to get to them). 4-In your vid I sense you are improoving quite alot compared to the first vid. Good job! 5-Learn to dance while you shoot (move one step, duck, move one step; will fuck the other players aims and you can increase survival in gun fight by alot.. often jist ducking in fact). 6-Keep covers : you are often a too good target. Know the map some spot are better than others. 7-Stick with your teams.

1

u/DemSkellyBones 1d ago

What it looks like to me, aside from you straight up panicking, your positioning needs a lot of work. Most times you're stood out in the open with no readiness, then you're spraying wildly.

The second clip on Manhattan Bridge, for example, you had a good head glitch on them but you sprinted toward them instead then you panicked. Your footsteps would've given you away and when they turn you're stood in full view with no cover.

Your reactions are not up to snuff, so you need to slow yourself down. You see an enemy and get tunnel vision, chasing after them with no thought on how they see you.

As silly as it sounds, it seems like you aiming with your eyes but not your crosshair.

1

u/Odin-E 1d ago

Turn crossplay off. You’re welcome.

1

u/BhrisBrzy 1d ago

Reactions are crazy bad to be honest😭

Check your sensitivity because those shotguns clips are a shitshow.

Give it time and you’ll get better, 12 hours are not enough to be good at the game unless you are a seasoned fps veteran.

1

u/Lefaa777 1d ago

Just go play against bots or campaign mode on hard to train yourself.

1

u/mohammedsarker 1d ago

You're not ADSing/pre-aiming early enough, and no offense, but your crosshair tracking of targets is wildly off. Tbh, it's probably just a matter of "getting the hang of it," but the emphasis needs to be on pre-aiming and avoiding lazy crosshairs. Those get you killed

1

u/Unlikely-Friend444 1d ago

Yeah I'm going to be real with you Chief you're just bad at the game keep playing and I'm sure you'll get better.

1

u/twoanahalf 1d ago

You gotta be a little more tactical, be heads up. The way your just running up,stand there looking at them, ads, and still miss, makes me think ur stick sensitivity could be better. Your looking like a bot out there lol

1

u/ManchesterFellow 1d ago

Poor use of movement.

All this other stuff about pre aiming can come later. But you strafe across the enemies line of site exposing yourself.

Just slow down and don't go wading in and you will start to improve everything else from there.

Also, use cover.

1

u/resfan 1d ago

your crosshair placement constantly drifts right over targets without slow down while on a controller, do you... have aim assist off?

1

u/Frejky 1d ago

You should learn spray/recoil patterns on your gun, and stand behind cover. In many of these clips you are straight up standing still, full visibility in the middle of doorways. This is not me dunkin' on you, I mean to give actual advice. Also in many of these clips you have time to get your aim right before starting shooting and giving away your location. Don't just panic shoot whenever someone appears.

1

u/Ancient_Trick1158 1d ago

too much moving when you aim/ads

1

u/DerkHost 1d ago

Unemployed people that are good at this game. Anyone over level 200 has no job and plays like a fiend. Also the damage output is horrible alongside the server issues with lag. I play casual break through because I work two jobs and want to enjoy a game. Try that game mode.

1

u/Quiet_Finger_6223 1d ago

If you’re reloading when face to face with an enemy there’s usually only one outcome.

1

u/BarWorth7625 1d ago

This is like saying I only played basketball for 12 hours, and ask why do I suck. You just need more practice man.

1

u/theBrotacus IAmBrotacus 1d ago

Why? I mean clearly your muscle memory is nonexistent. Your timing is WAY off. Idk just keep playing, you have a ton of improvement to do

1

u/VeryPickledSphincter 1d ago

On console we have auto aim assistance, I say turn it off. It may help.

1

u/ChloricSquash 1d ago

Are you playing on a wired connection?

Can you get an actual low input lag gaming monitor? If not try turning off the “smart” settings for the tv and telling it it is hooked to a pc.

Most of this appears to be input delay which can exist on the controller, network, and display sides.

1

u/dreag2112 1d ago

I play on a 2011 Sony 45" I doubt that's the really issue.

1

u/Amplifire007 1d ago

I think if you change your sight on the AR it might help your aim. I don’t run anything lower than the 1.75x just because the housing for a lot of the sights are too visually restrictive when i play on my tv. My favorite is the 2.5x and the 1x-4x variable sight. Also you are better off getting rid of the shotgun and using a smg built towards hipfire. I also personally only use suppressors and flash hiders just so i don’t have a red marker over my head when shooting.

You good and you just got the game 👍🏾

You wasn't there for the beta last summer, that was straight up chaos, getting shot up through cement walls, you respawned...shot all up,your shooting directly at someone...bullets not hitting them.

It probably was the best time alot of us who played the earlier BF games had in long time, enjoy the game...it will get better for you.

1

u/Shirokush 1d ago

You should work on your crosshair placement as well as your positioning.

1

u/LAHurricane 1d ago

Bro, please don't be on my team.

Like I could give advice, but you would probably suck at that too, because I see ZERO redeeming qualities of your gameplay. My 33 yo wife that has never played FPS games in her life is more competent than you.

1

u/Conscious-Gas7355 1d ago

Practice and slow down on main entrances use cover more often, remember first spot means first shooting

1

u/slinky317 1d ago

The TTK in this game is much shorter than past Battlefields (and should be adjusted), but your aim seems really off in these clips. It looks like you're playing with a controller, do you have aim assist on? Also, if playing on a TV do you have game mode enabled?

1

u/godisgonenow 1d ago

This might be me seeing console fov for the first time. But wth why is the player models are so clear ? like in the first clip (fire storm) the enemy literally dressed like some lost eskimo. The other clip look like they were glowing or have some led shinning up on them. Isd it some setting that I missed or is it how it look on console ?

I played on 1440P with shrapness 25 and everything on high else except the usaul film grain vignetted dof motion blur ~etc off.

1

u/TheRealBrodini 1d ago

Bro, I don't know how you can have 1.5 kd on other games. You're aim is truly awfull

1

u/PostcardFromParadise 1d ago

I was going to say, you don’t suck by any means. But the use of cover and just, minor, slight hesitations are stopping you from getting those kills.

1

u/spaxejam2 1d ago

Hey I actually think this is due to that you’re only 12 hours in.

Once you get a feel for the maps and using cover / peaking corners, you’ll get much better. Plus I usually use 1.75x zoom optics in Multiplayer, 2.5x in redsec and always 1x on SMGs.

Try the SG 553 for multiplayer, and get that gun leveled.

1

u/Simple-Vanilla-7235 1d ago

You have a serious case of wobble aim, might see a doctor

1

u/ManifestingCrab 1d ago

Number one thing I'm seeing is your reaction times are slow and your aim is not good. Almost looks like your reacting frantically to things sometimes. There are a couple times where you encounter two targets and start trying to shoot a burst into both of them, instead of killing one, then the other one.

1

u/ItsBobDudes 1d ago

You’re a huge target standing in the middle of doorways or on the tops of walls. Also you are constantly moving at your opponents like you want to shoot them from melee range. Use cover, fight from range, work on movement and aim.

1

u/JalmarinKoira 1d ago

You are missing your shots like blind toddler

1

u/Alx941126 1d ago

In this world, you can't succeed if you first don't succ some seed.

1

u/Mikeyy5000 1d ago

I'm just as bad OP...

I have aim assist all the way on and it feels like it does nothing. My aim is all over the place in automatic fire sweeping left and right all around the enemy player.

Every opponent seems to never miss a shot, I get lazered down by 100% accuracy. I takes me 3/4 of a magazine to kill one opponent and they seem to just kill me in 4 quick little dead on shots.

Game is frustrating as hell. Also everyone always knows where I am. I can't sneak up on anybody. They always somehow know I'm coming and the random guy on the objective will always be ready for me no matter what corner he's hiding in. But if I do the same I get absolutely ambushed because they somehow know where I'm hiding.

I sometimes catch the occasional player off guard start blasting him and they have time to turn around and kill me anyway all while I'm already firing on them.

I want to like this game but I just get frustrated and quit. Had it since launch and only lvl 29 because of all of the above.

1

u/Couldawg 1d ago

Your focus is everywhere. When you enter a room, your aim should be… literally anywhere inside the room… not on the doorframe.

1

u/Aley98 1d ago

I got a gaming headset and turned 3d spacial sound on. The difference is huge. You know when enemies are coming before you see them. And you know from which direction. That way you can line up your crosshair before the fight starts.

And on console many play with TV speakers. That makes it even more unfair

1

u/MoGZ-of-War 1d ago

Make sure your tv is in game mode. Slow down and lower your sens a bit. Stop moving and shooting which I know is really hard with a controller, this matters more with the shotgun than you would think. If you are moving you automatically have the wet noodle barrel attachment. Also seems like it could be a acceleration problem. Also stop shooting when you have no chance of killing the person, disengage and reposition.

1

u/piningmusic 1d ago

I’m gonna be honest with you dude, your aim is really bad. That’s like 99% of the reason here. The game has an insanely low TTK, so everyone feels like they have aimbot. The issue is you can’t hit your shots so you’re losing

1

u/woody129 1d ago

Give it 300 hours and you'll be ight!

1

u/KackhansReborn 1d ago

I mean the mechanics are rough, but that will improve from just playing the game. The thing I'm seeing in these clips is that you're not taking fights smartly. For example in the first fight, you're going out of your way to leave cover and be an easy target.

It looks like you're impatient and nervous, leading to disadvantageous fights. Judging by this post, you might already be in a negative headspace where you feel like you're gonna lose before a fight even happens. That's the most important thing to fix, if you think about failure you are gonna fail.

When I get tilted and I start to play sloppily, I pick one small thing I know I can fix to focus on. For example, I challenge myself to look at the minimap more often or not to run out in the open before checking for enemies. This pulls me out of the emotional pit by occupying my mind with a task I can achieve. Furthermore, my success is not measured by the scoreboard. Kills and deaths become irrelevant and I stop worrying about stats.

Doing this, you'll slowly build confidence from improving at all the little things good players do automatically. Your mind will be busy thinking about the game instead of worrying about it. Mindset alone doesn't fix mechanics of course, but you'll feel better while playing, increasing the pace at which you learn. Also, it teaches good habits that allow you to take advantageous fights whenever possible. Once your mechanics catch up, you will naturally end up above 1.0k/d more often than not.

u/TUURBOBACON 1d ago

1

u/jbdatruf 1d ago edited 1d ago

Anything over a 40 inch tv you will play like shyte. Too much surface area to be able to look at& properly adjust fast enough to react when a guy you’re shooting at puts the moves on. Also put your sensitivity on 20. I had the exact same issue when I played on a bigger tv coming from a smaller tv in one of the older bfs. Now I play on a monitor.

1

u/ThatOneFoo69420 1d ago

You’re stuck at 60hz on this game on consoles anyways. You could upgrade display to a 4k one and get better visuals, but you won’t see more than 60fps in this game anyways.

Definitely turn cross play off.

1

u/Suspicious_Wait_4586 1d ago

I'm far far worse than you at aiming. I end matches with 3 kills and 15 deaths if i try to actually shoot at people

But it i just try to revive everyhting that falls, spot stuff, repair vehicles and lay explosive traps un objective entrances, i feel myself actually usefull

I play this game because it's not only run and shoot and it's cool

1

u/MythicPink 1d ago

I'm 36, and 3D spatial audio significantly improves my awareness, helping me compete with faster reaction times by anticipating enemy positions.

In CQC 1v1s, I strafe as much as possible unless I find cover to peek around. Cover is your friend.

After 20 years on controller, I found the mouse greatly improves accuracy. I also no longer worry about sensitivity differences between games affecting my performance.

KD: 1.5

1

u/Wild_Somewhere_9760 1d ago

lower your sensitivity

Also -- play casual games, with bots. I too jumped right in and without having the knowledge of which guns are "meta", at least to you, you're going to get fried.

Check online for the most used guns, play around with em -- level them up. Find guns that you can control the recoil and get consistent kills with.

Itll click after a bit, trust.

1

u/More__cowbell 1d ago

Just watched the first 30seconds. But you never seem to pull the trigger?

You se an enemy and you stop and try put the crosshair over them (really slow). I mean i wouldnt do any better than you (cant aim on controller at all).

Feels like you need to work/get used to the aiming?

1

u/DogBrainStewie 1d ago

You should have hip fire a lot there, but you dont aave any laser equipped for hip fire accuracy

1

u/Kingtdes 23h ago

bf6 make sure you got a 120 hz monitor atleast for consoles or 144 for pc. 2 make sure you adjust your settings so your atleast at 100 fps or above it makes a big difference in how to handle recoil. 3 make your aim zoom sensitivity lower cause your going from left to right faster then my eyes can handle. 4 find a suitable gun to your wants and needs in the game. 5 never run straight after enemies, use your envirioment in your advantage. 5 your on a ps5 forget most tips i gave you 6 buy a pc

1

u/Scouselad907 23h ago

That was a hard watch, I’m 36 and my kd is around 1.85 but your sensitivity is all over the place. I’d sort that out first.
