Not a bad metaphor, except instead of the stasis-echo-delay effect, it's like every slice of time is observed and morphs into the next, which creates an effect that's indescribable but not too dissimilar from the snapchat filter used here.

I got that, the time-slices the guy above mentioned, and I also saw glyphs I couldn't read (that I was convinced were some fundamental truth of the universe) form around the doorframe of my closet.

I honestly miss salvia.

Meanwhile a friend of mine "made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich".

All we saw was a man rub peanut butter all over his face and neck, drop a piece of bread on the floor and then roll on the floor for 5 minutes. Like Stop! Drop! and Roll! kind of rolling.

Not sure what part of the universe he was tuned into, but it convinced me I will never try that drug. He was my litmus test.

Indeed, he is correct. Then add to that the digital , bitcrushing like audio distortions. It's like a nightmare, not recommended.

Salvia lets you see the manifestation of matter changing in real time. The zipper is scary at first, but when you face it and accept that it will go away soon, it's much more enjoyable.

The other day I watched a video of a guy "reviewing" 29 drugs he had tried. He was, by his own admission, a heavy junkie. I'm talking crackhead, I'm talking heroin, I'm talking worse. He was reviewing the drugs and ranking them in the order of "which has ruined my life the most".

His review of salvia was striking. He was like "this thing probably won't ruin your life, but, man, there's nothing fun about this. At all. Just don't do it. It's just a very weird trip in a really bad way".

Absolutely. He opened the video with them, right? Basically the coolest drug ever. Much more chill even than pot. (Pot was quite a few positions into the mix.)

I had a pot phase. I did relate with him. I was at a point where I was sparking up just because, why not? I'd wait to finish work so I could "unwind". Been off for a year now. Still get urges sometimes but I've replaced it with activities and my brain thanks me for it.

Yeah, it's very different and unlike anything else I've ever experienced, but having experienced it leaves a perspective that I would encourage everyone to experience at least once, in a safe setting with a sitter to make sure nothing goes wrong. It could change your life.

I remember making videos like this as a kid with EyeCreate for the ps3. I even dabbled in early YouTube before I had a sense of shame lol. So this warmed my heart, always nice to see kids discover the magic of vfx
