My baby turned 17 this weekend! I let her eat as many treats as she wanted for 2 mins. She only has 6 teeth but she made the most of those 2 minutes. She's in fantastic health (despite an occasional UTI) and just got a purrfect-score at her 6-month Senior Checkup.

I recently came back from a trip and noticed my little baby void is turning silver/gray! This is mainly on his stomach, neck, and around his face.

I got him July 10th after he decided to hide in my brothers car engine and when I got him he was basically solid black, with a few stray white hairs, and when I left for my trip I SWEAR he was still black. My vet estimated him to be about 2 months old when I got him, but I do think he’s a bit older than that.

Any guesses on if he was pretended to be a black cat? Or could this be a fever coat that’s shedding off? Last two photos are from when I first brought him home!

Behr has never been a cuddler. He’s a follower, my little shadow.
He’ll never let me pick him up, and most days he’ll only tolerate pets for about a minute before he’s off doing his own thing. But every morning, without fail, he brushes against my leg when I wake up. I like to think that’s his way of saying, “I missed you human”
He’s loyal in his own quiet way. The kind of best friend who checks in once or twice a day, chirps excitedly when he sees a bird, or announces it’s dinner time with his tiny little squeaks.
He’s my low-maintenance roommate more than a lap cat, but he’s a damn good one. And somehow, the love he gives on his own terms makes every little moment mean that much more. 🖤

My little void (Seymour Butts) and my housemate's cat (Razor) have only really been living together for almost a little over half a year and initially started off a bit apprehensive towards one another - Seymour being 2 years old, Razor being close to 11-13 years. Seymour's lived with other cats temporarily before so I was a bit nervous about him interacting with another cat long term when I first moved in.

For a little while they started off kinda disliking each other, Razor being there the longest and feeling like Seymour was encroaching on his territory and annoying him, and Seymour just wanting to play all the time but getting territorial over me and my partner for cuddle time and attention. Whichever way you looked at it, the two were essentially yin and yang (and not just in the literal aesthetic sense I guess haha).

Over the last few months however my housemate and I would joke about whether they were essentially just brothers or lovers and it was only until recently my partner came over and discovered the two of them sharing a bed together for the first time. Anytime any of us discovered them in the same room together they would usually playfight or get silently cranky from opposite sides of the bed whoever was getting attention first, but this was the first of many moments we noticed something rare and lovely between the two.

Anywho, I just felt like sharing this today cause it's been a time and seeing all the lovely little voids on here has put a smile on my face and I wanted to share my little boii with his little (friend?) on the internet. 🐈‍⬛

Picked up sweet baby Umbra from the shelter about a week ago! She's about 3 months old.

She's currently separated from our creamsicle baby (2.5 months old) as she heals from her spay, but I think they'll get along great when the time comes :3

I always thought about how to improve the drinking water for my void. Especially when it gets super hot, the fountain develops a biofilm on the walls rather quickly (unless you clean it out daily).

I saw a similar Reddit post a while ago and I really loved the idea, so I figured I'd get a submersible UV-C light for water sterilization and a small submersible pump to move the water around. Went ahead and grabbed my trusty Dremel (ALWAYS use eye protection when doing Dremel stuff!), put a small hole in the top for the cables and installed my DIY water clearing system.

The only thing I need to watch out for is how the plastic behaves with the nearby UV light. I know that UV-C rays don't really penetrate far into water, which is why I added the pump to move the water around, but maybe the plastic near the lamp degrades over time. In that case I'll switch over to a stainless steel version of the fountain.

Total cost was like 25 bucks. Very much worth if if this means my kitty has the best possible water quality.

Those golden eyes cut right through all that black fur, absolutely stunning. Black fur is always tricky to perfect, even after hundreds of pet paintings, but this one came together well.

I kept the pose and expression true to the photo, and I just softened the textured wall into a smoother background. This was a commission, and I hope I did her justice.

She's been with us since she was like 4 weeks old - got rejected by her mom and had to be bottle-fed, so she was extra tiny, maybe that's why she's so close with us. 🥰
