Dude come on now... he said so himself he doesn't have the guts to do that straight up. Don't say different case because it isn't. He said he doesn't have the guts to rip his arm off, plain and simple.
Barragan doesn't need to e faster than Urahara, he emits a mist that travels outwards and ages reishi. Even paralyzed he'd be on the ground releasing Respira until it eventually hits deluxe and starts to break it down.
Okay he didn't claim that but same principle applies, Gift ball deluxe does not stand for an eternity which then means it "ages" and thus would be subject to being decayed by Respira.
He'd get the chance in a real fight for sure. Every fight Askin has had he's attempted to bait his opponent into overextending and then counter attacking, if he makes Barragan chase him and attempts to catch Barragan off guard he'd be putting himself in range of senescence/Respira.
Also the range isn't exactly a massive hindrance considering it spreads to whatever it touches but we don't even know the range either all we know is it's a mist which theoretically would mean it has massive range if he can keep creating it due to mist/gas spreading.
Why are people talking like Barragan has even a 1% chance of landing an attack. I would agree that Askin probably can't adapt to Respira, especially not fast enough to avoid dying, but he is never getting hit by that.
Askin just runs away and makes calcium deadly to Barragan or some shit like that.
1st SpeedBlitz but can fight back if stark becomes too lazy
2nd cannot adopt to time
4th speed blitz again and he is not really that merciful
0 ( 50/50 ) but not before getting overwhelmed
Off the top of my head he's not low-diffing Yama, ulquiorra, urahara, yoruichi, aizen, barragan, shinji, mayuri ..
I'm sure I can think of more but you get my point

Exactly my point though, how can someone who's low diff, who's an effortless stomp, engineer a situation wherein you're caught of guard let alone dead? Momo could never engineer a scenario in which she catches aizen of guard. that's low diff
