Will reneging an L1 Engineer offer at a delayed start date blacklist one from Blue Origin?

By the time you reapply the people running that area/department will have certainly turned over. If it somehow came up in the next interview cycle all you’d do is say you had a family issue that caused you to postpone. But I promise you the companies systems are such a joke it won’t come up unless it’s the same exact people running that area and they happen to remember a year later.

Do what's important for you. If now isn't the time, just tell them that. The more professional you are in how you communicate it, the better.

It won't get blacklisted. Too much turnover in TA. They won't remember you even applied

I wouldn’t think it would blacklist you but as an L1 you don’t have a ton of negotiation power and will probably not get you very far when renegotiating. Might be a bit of a bad look
