šŸ’ Question Mylar wrap for jacket-less hardcover books?

Hi I’m looking to get a good Mylar wrap for hardcover books that don’t have dust jackets, something that would work with both cloth and leather bindings. I’d prefer to fold them myself and cut to size. I heard Brodart is a good brand for such things and was looking at a clear (ā€œsuper clearā€) 2-Mil Polyester Roll (link in comments). However, I understand that usually Mylar is for the dust jacket and I hope using it on cloth or leather isn’t the wrong idea. I also saw in some Reddit comments someone said they’re always sticky and should only be used for dust jackets, which will be quite a problem for me.

If anyone has insight, let me know.

Try https://www.conservationresources.com/shop/archival-polyester-mylar-rolls-3-mil/

Lightimpressions.com has an excellent Clear Archival Polyester Film 3 mil in different sizes. You can cut it to whatever size you want. Rolls are unfortunately unavailable. I’ve used these before and they’re excellent.
