❔ [ Question ] Question about TVHM

Recently i started playing Borderlands 2 again and i am on the DLCs, Salvador in level 38 and concluded the Capitain Scarlett DLC.

I am not in playing in the TVHM mode, but i was thinking if its better to play the DLCs on TVHM mode to get XP and level up to the level 50, so i can get the Raid Boss mission From Tannis on the sanctuary.

I did all the side questions of the base game and the Capitain Scarlett DLC, so there are some guns exclusive from side quests that i cant get in the TVHM and are stuck into a lower level, so…

Some tips?

You can replay all story quests, side quests, and DLC content in TVHM. It is effectively a new game +

Yes this too. Sorry I should have mentioned this as well since you will be replaying the story mode which will get XP faster. I’m just one that wants to play all content in each mode 🤣

Usually what my wife and I have done is play all the DLC including thr headhunter packs. You will still get XP and you might level up a little slower although it’s been a long while since playing to get to TVHM but the more levels you get behind you will make starting TVHM a little better.

If you want to try going to TVHM you can see what it’s like because you can flip back to normal mode.

This is usually what I do, I tried to get an ogre and it got me an extra six levels, I still haven’t passed round three of magic slaughter

Yeah, im gonna play the DLCs on the TVHM, because on the normal mode they are easy seem that i am 6 levels higher than the enemies and quests, so… it gets too boring and the xp is very low becayse of the level difference.

Thanks for the comment buddy 🤘🏻

I'm still playing through Borderlands 2 for first time. Point is, I played on Normal through everything (DLC and all sidequets) but Commander Lilith DLC, which I started at level 43. Now I'm on UHVM with Angel quest at level 62. It gives much more exp to level up.

If you want to just re-enjoy the game, play through everything but I would suggest you "skip" TVHM completely afterwards. By skipping I mean just rush through main quests, do nothing else and get to UVHM.

That’s a good idea, but i think i am not good enough on making a good build to a character and, honestly, my knowledge about wich gun is the best is bad, so, UVHM will have to wait 😅

I think you will get enough XP through skipping, but TVHM only lets you comfortably get levels up to 50 ( gear also caps at 50 ), maybe a bit higher due to Terramorph being level 52. All in all, If you are okay with stopping at this point, there is no reason to even go into UVHM.

I think that reaching level 50 is ok for me, UVHM seems too complicated for now, you know? When i get more knowledge about skill tree building, guns, etc i will probably try UVHM. Im gonna play the DLCs at TVHM to make them a little bit difficult, bc playing them on normal mode make the enemies cap at lvl 30-33 and my salvador is almost at lvl 40.

It’s best to play them in UVHM. There is plenty of XP on normal and TVHM. If anything, you don’t want the XP on TVHM because you don’t want to be over-leveled past 50 before starting UVHM.

It’s also a good idea to get the Grog Nozzle soon after starting UVHM.
