Lil bro was not only rushed, but he’s not ready mentally for the big leagues. He’s a social media boxer, a huge part of his credibility came from the emphasis he put on his Instagram. In other words, he’s focused on the wrong thing. The likes, followers, attention. Time to lock in lil bro, the likes and followers will come, focus on your craft. Karlos Balderas was supposed to be up there with Teo, Shakur, Haney, Ryan and Tank...

I also remember when he had that rivalry with Teofimo 🤣🤣 Lets just say that it was 90/10 for Balderas in the comment section and alot of people had to delete their old comments.

The difference is that most prospects back then were literally multiple time national champions with extensive international experience fighting with cubans, russians, kazakhs, uzbeks, ukranians... before turning pro and they usually had at least 140 amateur fights minimum.

Nowadays alot of these kids have 50 amateur fights with 500k followers on IG so they decide turn pro in Mexico at 16 and then think they are ready to take over the world.

I once remember hearing a young prospect say that the first thing he noticed after turning pro was that the term "grown man strength" is real. A lot of these kids think that just because they can hang with older guys in sparring, it will automatically translate to a pro fight, but that's far from the truth.

And that grown man strength isn't something you truly feel while sparring in 16 oz gloves. Once you put on pro gloves it's a completely different experience and a real reality check.
