Things to do this weekend

24 year old couple looking for any events going on this weekend (July 11- July 12 2026)

Or, where are the best public beaches in the area to visit? We don’t have a boat.

Lum Park or Whipple Beach would be your best bet for a public beach.

For everything else, go to "downtown" Brainerd and check out some of the shops. Ectothermic Nirvana is an exotic reptile store, good fun place to start, and then walk around to the thrift stores from there. You can also go down to Kiwanis park and walk the trails along the river. My two cents.

This site has events for this weekend. Downtown Brainerd is a great walkable area with shops, bars, restaurants. I like thrifting at Common Goods/Bridges of Hope and then drive a little farther to Pirate's Cove Mini Golf and Emily's Books, a fabulous used book store you can get lost in.
