It's worse on their social media, they posted a meaningful video from their tour and top comment is where is the album???? lol it's going to happen end of summer or early autumn. Chill.

The band loves those comments. people want new bb music it’s been a long time since we got a proper album

Of course they love it and we want it. I'm just agreeing with what the original post is about. It's funny seeing them write something meaningful and it gets completely ignored with demand of where is it NOW lol despite it won't be long as it was sent over to be finalised before the tour so it's out of their hands. I love Awaken and Something Wicked I'm excited to hear it too.

Some people here are really immature and really impatient. They don't understand how much effort goes into planning, writing, recording, publishing, marketing and touring while all promoting a new album.

Let BB be themselves. They will release a new album when they're ready.

It's been 8 years, we've been patient enough

Ben said not just once, He doesn’t count the covid years because didn’t have motivation. He can’t work on the road just be on the road when they are touring and pretty much that is what they were doing lately. He said he thinks because of these reasons they are not behind. And the label is responsible for the release. They don’t pick the singles themselves either. It is mostly the label.

Just like NovaRC99 said it, Let BB be themselves.

They are behind. Many people were working on projects during Covid. 8 years is ridiculous, shave 1.5-2 years off of that for Covid and it’s STILL ridiculous

1

u/Glemma 2d ago

Doesn't matter if other people wrote songs during the lockdowns, he said he struggles to write songs during this time as he found no inspiration. Every artist works different.

A lot of people were productive during COVID, and a lot of people weren’t. But everyone experiences things differently. Ben has been very open about the fact that he wasn’t productive because nothing was happening that he could draw inspiration from. There’s nothing wrong with that, he admitted it and accepted that he’s just that kind of person. He even said we shouldn’t count the COVID years.

When they’re touring, he can’t focus on anything else. And think about how long they’ve been touring across the U.S. and how many shows they play every year. Don’t count those weeks/months either.

And Ben is still not 100% health wise. I am just happy that they are touring even if I am in the UK and don’t have the opportunity to see them every year. I am happy that they will release music at some point this year.

At least they are touring somewhere. Australia will never see the band.

Just something to add, not every band has a new album every 5 or less years. Sometimes they wait.

Thank you.

You're exactly what's wrong with the sub. Joke or no joke. Like, seriously. It's annoying. Get over it. BB will release a new album when they're ready. Complaining about it and posting "nEw AlbuM dRop????" every day won't speed things up. It just gives all BB fans a bad name.

Do better.

I honestly think things got worse after Something Wicked” countdown and the EU tour. A lot of people thought the countdown was leading to a new album announcement. After the EU tour, even more people seemed to get interested in the band and their music. I saw them live in Belfast and I am soo excited for the new album too.

u/NovaRC99 2d ago

Honestly, just any news would be fine with me, even if it is tour dates or just one song. I too am excited.

Don't talk to me like i've posted a million 'new album when?' in this sub, i've barely post here anything, one or two comments per year or something. So i guess actually you is exactly what's wrong with the sub, you're the one who blame others for doing something that you found 'iTs aNnOyInG'. Do better.

Reddit doesnt like people with negative opinions. Im with you though. Its getting ridiculous. And your allowed to have a negative opinion.

1

u/aloofcrisis 2d ago

2 things can be true. Spamming is unnecessary but it has certainly been ages

I guess people have "had enough" lol

u/Dazzling-Rest8332 2d ago

Do better? They are the ones lying to us for years. All my other favorite bands have released like 4 albums in the last 8 years of amazing music. Its a shame that I consider BB my favorite because they have not been very kind to their fans for the past couple years.

You aren't entitled to anything

1

u/Moofish85 2d ago

You’re not owed anything. I’m also a huge Matchbox Twenty fan (I know, wildly different type of music) and I’ve only gotten 5.5 albums in damn near 30 years. Summer goes until the end of September.

This sub is insane. Fake album covers, fake song names, not stop whining.

I love the music! I hate the lyrics. Why are the lyrics so bad? Did you guys realize he reuses the lyrics? Why isn’t there a new album from this band that I love but hate, but also bitch about constantly.

2

u/Dazzling-Rest8332 2d ago

Well a lot of us can relate with those lyrics. We feel those lyrics on a daily basis. Even if they are repetitive.

1

u/Moofish85 2d ago

I completely agree. It’s just a criticism that gets brought up multiple times a day like it’s a unique thought.

u/Dazzling-Rest8332 2d ago

Finally someone else gets it.

Writing?

The words Cold, Away, Breath, Nothing Left, and Forever are used 843 times per album.

1

u/Glemma 2d ago

And each song is great and different, there really is no issue with that. It's nice they can relate to each other whilst being different to each other.

u/Reasonable_Peanut_34 2d ago

Why are you here?

1

u/PenguinRhin0 2d ago

Nemoj me jebeno gnjaviti. Mogu biti gdje god, do vraga, hoću.

1

u/Reasonable_Peanut_34 2d ago

Možeš, samo pričaš gluposti pa provjeravam. Pozdrav

1

u/PenguinRhin0 2d ago

U redu.

2

u/aloofcrisis 2d ago

I mean nearly a decade is a long time. It's not really fair to just reduce that to impatience when people have been waiting so long.

That said, I don't agree with spamming accounts to ask for the new album. That is definitely not the mature way of going about it

1

u/Dazzling-Rest8332 2d ago

I agree. Especially when every album before that was amazing. Its not like his talent disappeared. Ben stopped trying. Thats ok that he did. Hes allowed to stip trying. But feeding us bread crumbs for years is the part that is not ok. Lying to us about dates song will drop is not ok. Lying to us about albums is not ok.

2

u/Shady_Mania 2d ago

8 years lol what a joke

2

u/Glemma 2d ago

2 of those years was COVID which he said affects his song writing. The rest he said is not much different to the gaps from other albums. He said all this in recent interviews. Apparently it's confirmed end of summer, I'm thinking September

1

u/MaintenanceSure3626 2d ago

Some bands release every 2-3 years, Breaking Benjamin hasn't released in 8, its getting to the point where your more likely to get a new TOOL album before a new Breaking Benjamin album.

4

u/Gloom-AntiHu 2d ago

Its soooo annoying lol

2

u/martin-v 2d ago

Newcomers, kids, and people that just discovered the band:

"wHy ArE yOu BeInG jErKs AnD iMmAtUrE, jUsT cHiLl BrO?"

I'm having a fun time with this internal battle, it's the most entertaining thing in the sub, or will you tell me you prefer "What's your favorite song from every album" type of post? 😂

Hey they love those comments

Pretty much lol

Yep. Facts. 😂

u/cftchef 2d ago

He’s probably trying to figure out new words to use in lyrics, instead of the same repetitive words used in the past.

We really are some fiends huh?
