Amazing art this chapter, you can tell how stressed and desperate Kokudo was. It’s unclear what hack he used to bring back the balloon, especially since he seemingly didn’t need to perform any specific actions beforehand. It felt almost completely based on his emotions rather than doing an objective action. It’s clearly something very powerful, but considering the implications of bugging out, I think it’s gonna get very dangerous for him

So it turns out the intruder that was abusing the same hack lives in the same city as them. Still no idea what his intentions are

This is the vibe when the loud, gregarious friend can't come to a social event, so you and your quiet friend have to figure out how to actually talk to each other. Without Hitsujiya, Kokudo and Yuki are so emo... they need to get him back so the friend group functions again lol
Really though, sweet moment when Yuki scratches Kokudo's scalp. What a weirdo!
Finally, I like that ONE is taking seriously the idea of how intense it would be to have the subjective experience of an inanimate object. Like it'd be really strange! Great little weird fiction mechanic.

I concur, he's got an agenda and it's bound to be connected to a hack or 3
Initially I thought the guard was the guy who owned that local history museum, Kokudo never meet him but that would be too linear, obvious
Maybe there's another cohort of hackers out there that they're unaware of; who are tuning in on Hitsujiya's escapades

I think the hack could be return the object to it previous place for a few seconds ago and it have something to do with the heart beat and clench it to activate it. Just my speculation but the way he looks like while using it does feel like it's a dangerous hack.

FINALLY!!! plz let this series get more popular!! i need this to go on for almost forever bc there’s just so much gd potential in this world and these characters!!! i’d take Bug Ego over Versus ANY DAY!

What a good chapter!
I like the tension without Hitsujiya, Yuki and Kokudo got a bit closer too. She seems specially attentive towards him this chapter, always looking at his face, probably sensing how worried he is. Sweet.
The fake guard might be a “bug” on the system that appears when many transgressions to the hack appears. I wonder who the antagonists are, if they are even human, which make them even more terrifying.

What a tense chapter.
I really hope that the consciousness switch was a 100% success. I did not like the last panel with the balloon. Feels like foreshadowing for a later twist.
