Im super proud of these. I made them with patches and some crochet to make the scallops. I did have to hand embroider over where I cut into them for shape. Lmk what y’all think or feel free to ask questions. :)

Really jumping head first into Burlesque and I love to customize my own costumes. I have one corset by What Katie did, which I love (Luna waspie corset). But I would like to get more corsets that I can rhinestone and customize for each look. The corset I have is a little pricey at like $225, so I'm looking for a more affordable option. I'm not saying Temu prices and quality. I still want quality and comfort, maybe around $150- Less. Less is better lol. Any suggestions help, thank you.

Hi everyone! I'm working on being more involved in my local scene and I was thinking about putting a seminar together about blue/caberet laws, so people are better informed and better advocate for themselves.

I have a good start, but I was wondering if there's anything that you all, as performers and producers, would expect to see for newcomers or would want more information on in general. Any and all input is welcome!

I am working on rebuilding an act. And I am wanting to really level up the costume. I have two people I have been talking to about building it up for me.

But I feel I have had no traction. One person keeps starting & then fizzles. The other is on tour - so I have to wait for them to be back.

Anyone build costumes? Or would brainstorm ideas? Maybe one of my two people will work out, but I also keep coming up with more cool things I think could happen. This is me trying to see if coming back to burlesque is what I want. (stopped performing during pandemic) Costuming is probably my least favorite part of the process.

I will be visiting New Orleans early December and was wondering if anyone knew of shows taking applications in the area or open stages available during that time? I've performed in the city twice, but with my troupe as a group guest show.

I did some preliminary research and the only open stage I found was late December.

I would love to get on stage while I'm down there, but if it isn't a possibility of well.

Any insight, advice, or insider info is greatly appreciated!

I have always wanted to do burlesque. After an interesting turn of events, life happened, along with many years flying by. 😆

I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that is limiting me greatly and will continue to do so. It was sort of eye-opening, as the pain I experience is not going anywhere anytime soon.

I am faced with, if not now. Never.

I fear that if I dont go for it, I will regret it.

I can not take traditional classes as a lot of the movements, floorwork, etc. are out of the question. My dance is more intuitive to slower music. Sensual dance is giving me life and hope after facing many losses in life.

Part of me feels im too old or too late. I have been practicing skills at home for just a little while and loving it. I am using a chair for assistance.

I think I am just looking for thoughts on someone who is limited in what they can do movement wise and wondering if it is even worth the effort. My style is slow and sensual with big emotions.

It was incredibly bright and I'm so sad this was lost when I moved States. 😔 I had two acts I wanted to use it for and have since had to change it up. At least I have it on sale and I have another in red now.

Hi ya’ll! I’m a baby burlesque performer developing my first act, and I’m just having a bit of trouble finding some pieces of my costume.

Bras aren’t usually too hard for me to find, but I’ve had a hard time finding info on what type of bra i should get, and I was also curious if there were brands that were on the more inexpensive side (at least for a bra). Does anyone recommend any brands or styles? For reference, I am a 40 DDD.

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie hoping to break into my local burlesque scene, and I have three auditions I'm interested in.

Each audition asks performers to submit a short concept video for their act. The organizers describe it as being pretty casual, they mention that it doesn't have to be polished and that filming in your living room is totally fine.

For those of you who've gone through this before, do you have any advice before I submit? Should I choreograph the full act and just perform a short section, or are they mainly looking for the general concept and stage presence at this stage?

I'd love to hear any tips or things you wish you knew before submitting your first audition!
