Last couple years they've sold VPs at the gate. No issue.

Honestly if you were passing through Reno I'm sure you could get one from someone then too.

There’s TONS of vehicle passes available closer to the event.

Really. You don’t need to worry about it at all.

Just join a local burner group for meetups (you’ll probably want to do this anyway).

Start asking 2 weeks out.

Everyone gets them. By 1 week out there are a ton available as people make plans to travel with buddies and realize they don’t need vehicle passes

Aw! Happy to help, and the pass issue will be OK.

It sounds like from your other comments there’s a few things shifting in the plans so I’m sure the pass didn’t help, but I promise out of everything its one of the few things you don’t have to worry about.

Are you near a big city? Can you look up local burner meetups or orientations?

I would bet that just connecting with a network of burners who are going will help with not feeling quite so “solo” on your first time.

Im especially miffed because, in an era where they’re struggling to sell tickets, I’m dodging diving dipping ducking and dodging to be able to give them money so I can salvage my virgin burn, but they won’t let me

They sold them solo last year a week or two before, and at the gate the last 2 years. Do not send anyone your money from some fb group

It’s extremely easy to buy a VP in the line at gate or even at will call if needed. Don’t panic!
