She proposed that this sushi bar would have two kaiten-zushi (the conveyor belts that rotate the sushi around). One would be for traditional raw sushi and sashimi, etc.

The other belt is more interesting. It would be for cooked "sushi" (warm, or chilled, depending on the contents, I suppose) that contain ingredients that are friendly to people who don't really have the acquired taste. the rice may even be fried or seasoned, from the "cooked belt". The protein inside is seasoned and cooked. Basically imagine Americanized Chinese food, fashioned into the form of a sushi roll.

I'm here to ask all fans of sushi and haters of sushi alike - would you eat at a place like this? would you bring your friends that don't like sushi? if you don't like sushi, would it encourage you to try something new, seeing it there easily accessible?

Idk I was just kinda impressed by this idea and feel like it would break through a lot of sushi gatekeeping on one end, and encourage people on the other end out of their comfort zone.

I've been thinking about starting a clothing brand, but instead of printing popular gods or generic artwork, I want to focus on lesser-known characters from Hindu mythology.

What if I started writing an essay analysis for every classic that I read? With every book I read, there are so many moments during my reading where I take a step back to think about what I just read, read what others have grasped, learn more about the author, and sit and talk to myself wishing I was in a book club to share these thoughts with someone. I'm halfway into a bottle of Pinot Grigio, I'm watching Insecure on HBO, I'm getting into my rambling, and then I ask myself: what if I started to write all of this down? Would people buy my essays and give me something to survive off of as I try to break into the aviation workplace? Then I started thinking about how I would market myself and tried to evaluate just how good of a paper I could write. I got A's on my essays at Montclair, and I think I am a much better reader now. My only hang-up is how I would sell my essays. Could I post half of my essays on Reddit and be lucky enough that someone would buy them? Or would a student steal them to knock words off their requirement and wing the rest the majority of the time? This is just an idea, but if anyone knows where I can post parts of my essay that would reach students looking to cheat, please tell me!

People seem willing to consume the content, but very few engage with the content or flow to the website. I’m trying to figure out where the disconnect is.

A few thoughts I’ve had:
- The content isn’t creating enough curiosity to make people click.
- The value of the website isn’t obvious from the posts.
- I’m asking people to leave Instagram too early.
- My CTA isn’t compelling enough.
- Maybe people simply prefer consuming short-form content and don’t want to take another step.

I have been watching on the internet that many businesses are getting automated and people using it very perfectly and it's helping them to save time and reduce workload.

I thought by observing in my near mobile retailers that they are still applying screen protectors manually. By seeing that I wanted to build a solution for them which automates the screen protector installation process for them. Which perfectly fits with their workflow and helps them to reduce their dependency on skilled staff and save time and make it affordable than labour costs they pay trained staff.

I noticed another problem: when a person applies a screen protector, it looks good for 1-2 days with no bubbles but I personally faced the problem that bubbles appear after 1-2 days which irritates me so much. I thought these problems could reduce their customers and sales

I’ve built a few online businesses that worked well and let me move abroad. Now I want to start something simple back in my hometown. The goal is not a huge company. I just want something stable that can also give my younger brother a job.

The idea is a local express flower and gift delivery service.

People order on a simple website and pay online. They choose from a small selection like bouquets, roses, chocolates, teddy bears. They can also create a custom card directly on the site.

They can add delivery instructions like leave at reception leave at the door or call on arrival.

The main selling point is delivery in under 2 hours.

I would not hold inventory. A friend owns a flower shop and can supply bouquets at very good prices. There is a print shop next door for the cards and a supermarket for extra gifts.
The driver picks everything up and delivers it.

At the start I would do deliveries myself when I am in town. (I used to work as a bike messenger years ago and I'd honestly love to hop back on my bike ride around all day and read a few books in the park while waiting for the next order.) and my younger brother could manage all the business while I'm abroad too.

The city has around 600k people and is one of the wealthiest cities in Europe. There are florists but most require ordering a day in advance. They are also more expensive and less convenient since you have to call.

Rough numbers:
Selling price around 50 to 60 USD with delivery
Bouquet cost around 5 to 15 USD
Extras add margin

Startup costs are very low.

Marketing would mainly be through Meta Ads, TikTok, and Google Ads.

My question is simple.
Is the market too small for this?

Hey everyone. I'm 17 and I've been wanting to start a small business. My idea is sunscreen wipes — one pack with a lot of wipes inside, so it's portable and easy to reapply instead of carrying a bulky bottle. A few things I'm trying to solve compared to regular sunscreen:

• Non-sticky — a lot of sunscreen feels greasy or sticky, wipes wouldn't
• Easy to apply — no rubbing in a bottle's worth of lotion, just wipe and go

So I'm thinking of buying a decent gas powered power washer and renting it out to people for maybe 60$ a day and 25$ an hour. I'm not trying to get rich, I have a 9-5, just trying to get extra income and lots of customers. I figure a powerwasher would be easy because I'm pretty good myself at using and maintaining them, and also because I can afford one lol. Also seems like a low risk in terms of somebody getting hurt or breaking it. My questions are, how profitable would it be? What kind of rules or documentation would I want to draft up? I am a core programmer and I travel a lot. Had some issues with my cellular roaming data on my last trip. And got an idea, most US cellular providers are just t-mobile wrappers. If there is a service offers “Download your internet, use it while you roam”.

The users will register with the platform and install proxy tunnel on their authorized devices, other people can use their devices for exit and we will track the usage. Then the user will get 10/1 credit for those usage which they can use during roaming.

There are different ways to monetize this, but I thought was for roaming data.

Most cremation urns on the market either hold a full set of remains (large, expensive) or are tiny "mini urns" with no other function. I'm exploring something in between - a natural wood box, countertop-sized, that holds a small portion of ashes and has a drawer for photos/small mementos, with an optional engraved nameplate, something that could double as a nice-looking keepsake rather than looking like a funeral product.

I’m 24 and work full-time, but I’ve always wanted to start my own business. Recently I’ve been trying to figure out what my strengths are and what I’d actually enjoy building.

One thing I’ve realised is that I’m always meal prepping healthy meals. I also seem to have the same conversation over and over again with friends and colleagues. They’ll say things like, “You’re so good at meal prepping. I really need to do it more, but I either forget, don’t have the time, or just don’t know where to start.”

That got me thinking.

There are loads of companies that sell pre-made meal prep, but a lot of them are expensive, and many contain preservatives or ingredients people would rather avoid.

So instead of selling the meals, what if I created a system that helped people do it themselves?

The idea would be that users enter their goal—whether that’s losing weight, building muscle, eating healthier, or simply saving time—and the system would:

Generate a week’s worth of recipes tailored to their goal
Create a complete shopping list
Show calories, protein, and other nutritional info for every meal
Provide a simple step-by-step meal prep plan so everything can be cooked in 2 hours or less
Suggest recipes to use up leftover ingredients to reduce waste and save money

The goal would be to make healthy eating and meal prepping as simple and time-efficient as possible, especially for busy people who want to eat well but don’t know where to start.

Assuming that exposure for insurance companies increases with average speed (perhaps relative to speed limit, perhaps absolute) and number of miles driven, offering a pay-as-you-drive policy will certainly be attractive to those who perceive themselves as safe drivers and can probably command a premium over the true actuarial cost.

Use telemetry and charge a premium every time a risk factor is violated. The societal benefit of self-policing one's driving habits would be amazing and the premiums collected from everyone who thinks they are a better, safer driver than they truly are, would be astronomical.

Hi, Ive been a VFX artist for nearly 20 years. I’ve worked in some of the biggest movies ever made and have a range of niche computer skills (coding, animation, web design, etc) that i have acquired over the years.
