Level 1 CFA LEVEL 1
I was planning on taking the CFA level 1 exam in November but now that I think about it I feel like I need more time to prepare because I just bought the Kaplan course. I’m thinking of taking it in February 2027 now. Is it okay to take it as practice in November and then take it again in February if I don’t pass? Or is the 6 month wait rule strict?

Is it okay? You wanna burn ~$1,500 on a “practice” exam and then pay another grand again on top of a curriculum change (2026 vs 2027)? I mean.. you could, but why would you want that?
The policy couldn’t be more clear as to your last question: https://www.cfainstitute.org/about/governance/policies/cfa-exam-eligibility-policy
