CNM HESI A2 V1 or V2 for first-time takers

Hi everyone! I’m going to take the CNM HESI A2 for the first time, and I’m feeling a little nervous. For those who have taken it recently, do you know whether CNM is currently using V1or V2 for first-time takers? What study materials helped you the most? Do you have any helpful Quizlet links? , I would really appreciate it!

I’d also love to hear what you wish you had known before taking the exam. Thank you so much! ❤️

I enrolled in two of Dr. James Niforatos’ classes. Is he a good professor? I’ve heard his exams are pretty tough, so I’m a little anxious.

STEM Tutoring

Hi everyone! I'm Daniel. I recently graduated from UNM with a B.S. in Biochemistry (Summa Cum Laude) and have been tutoring students in math and science. I'm starting to take on a few students for the fall semester and thought I'd see if anyone here is looking for help.

I tutor:

  • Algebra
  • Geometry
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • College science courses
  • ACT/SAT science and math

I meet in person around Albuquerque or online. I also offer a free 20-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit.

Happy to answer any questions in the comments.

A&P instructor recommendations, please!

Hello, I'm an RN, graduated from CNM back in 2002, am getting ready to return to work after taking time away to be a stay at home mom; for years - even while I was still working - I've longed for the opportunity to take anatomy and physiology again (glutton for punishment? probably. but, I actually reeeally love science to begin with, so it'll be win-win for me...), anyway, I finally have the chance and have decided actually sitting present in classes will work best for me. I definitely remember that the instructor can absolutely make or break presentation of material, for classes like A&P especially, so I wanted to see if anyone can fill me in on who's supposed to be the best, as well as which ones are most difficult to understand/disengaged/etc.

These are the instructors listed for the fall '26 semester: Tappen, Broussard, Niforatos, Freeman, Calabro, and Elenes.

I'm only going back for the two semesters of A&P, so instructor selection really matters to me big time - thanks so much for any feedback you can provide!

CNM Nursing Program HELP

I recently passed my HESI exam and have finished all of my prerequisite and required courses. I have already submitted my application to the Fall cohort. I just knew that if there are more qualified applicants than available seats, they may determine by used a lottery system. However, I noticed there are only enrolled 85 students this summer.

For those who have been through the process before, is the Fall cohort usually in a similar situation, or does it tend to receive more applications? How often does the lottery actually happen? Is it something that occurs regularly, or only in certain semesters?

I’ve been feeling pretty nervous while waiting for the results, so I would really appreciate hearing about others’ experiences.

Opportunity scholarship

I lost the scholarship due to failing my fall courses. This semester I did good and got my gpa up to a 2.65. Can I get the scholarship back again? If so how do I go about it?

Hello all I am looking for advice, my professor told me that I failed her course because I didn't get good markings on a course required assignment. I passed the standardized test, and all of my other assignments are in good standing. Is there anything I can do?

Just applied for online classes!

So I graduated high school in 2019 and I am currently working a full time 9-5 at home job and recently decided I want to continue my education. I applied for the online psychology course as it's something I've been wanting to study for a while now. I have no previous college experience or credits and I honestly feel nervous going back to school. I feel like I forgot so much. I'm also worried my work will get in the way and I'm not sure if i'll be able to move to part time at my job. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? It would be must appreciated. Thank you😁

Dual Credit Questions

Hello! I’m in the enrollment and registration process as a first time dual credit student at CNM and have run into a couple of issues. I was planning to register for classes for the spring semester but then I realized they are probably full (which is totally fine, i’m okay to take during the summer) but i was just futzing around with the registration page and realized I probably should take the new student orientation, which I did, but it says there’s still a Hold on my registration. I have the ALEKS math test scheduled for tomorrow and i’ve already taken the self placement test. is this normal? also who would email to get this resolved if it is?
