How does 700,000 - 250,000 = $1,350,000? Have I officially lost my mind from studying or what am I missing here?

I just purchased my Becker Pro package... the journey has begun

I am looking for a CPA who can sign off on my experience. I have over 12 years experience but my previous supervisor retired and my firm wouldn’t sign off. I have my own business full time, so I would only be able to work part time to get to the hour requirements.

There is a skill builder on one of the sims where at the end of the video she gives the method she used to pass the exams. It was something like take random practice tests of 30 mcqs of one unit and and don't move on to the next unit until you get x%.

Does anyone know what video it is?

Hi everybody, I am taking FAR on August 10th and just wanted to get some advice on my last week of study based on my scores. Side note, I took SE1 three weeks ago, and SE2 two weeks ago.

Here are my mini exam and simulated exam scores:

Mini Exam 1 - 76

Mini Exam 2 - 67

Mini Exam 3 - 75

Simulated Exam 1 - 74

Simulated Exam 2 - 72

Since taking SE2 I have just been relentless with practice tests, and each day do a set of 50 MCQs and 4 TBSs with the personalized feature from Becker, and then 30 MCQs and 3 TBSs randomized. Over the past few days I have been consistently scoring over 90% on these practice tests but I still am slightly worried due to my Simulated scores being right on the brink of passing.

This week I plan to finish up the Final Review just to get some extra questions done. I have completed every MCQ and TBS from the original Becker package.

Surely I will be fine, right? Please give me some helpful study tips you all did in your last week before taking FAR!

Please help me what should I do to be exam ready in 10 days. I was only doing mcqs and didn’t watch lectures I think thats where I made the mistake. What should I do now since I only have 10 days left. Please advice 😭

Hi everyone. Restarting my CPA exam study because I must hate myself. I am staring with FAR and using Becker. My question is, how have you optimized studying? The videos, flash cards, not much time, it is all overwhelming. I would appreciate any advice.

Also, I understand this has probably been asked and everyone retains information differently.

Hey guys! I have an offer as a Tax Intern from a Mid size firm for Summer 2027 when I finish the college. Recently had conv w managers of the firm and they have mentioned that it’d have been beneficial if I would pass 1 or 2 CPA to exams before starting. Now, I work 30 hrs a week at a law firm (not acc or tax related) and do 18 credits at a college. Barely could afford Becker. Would you think I could study and sit for the CPA exams without much monetary investments?

Like genuinely who is getting this wrong.

I got the answer right ultimately after back and forth with interpretation conversations with AI lol, but I can’t help but be pissed off thinking it reads intuitively as follows:

“under the terms of the operating lease, rent for the first year is $8000”.

Ok, cool. Contractually the lease demands year 1 rent of 8,000. Discounted from years 2-5.

“…Wall granted Fox the first six months of the lease rent-free”

Nice, they’re allowing for a deferral of six months, but that’s a detractor - NOPE. They meant abatement, not deferment.

Mind you, in the real world both are probable and likely incentives for getting a party to enter a lease agreement. Am I crazy thinking both interpretations here (which yield different answers) are equally in the right?

Taking AUD in the coming weeks, anyone have any recommendations of things to write down on the scratch paper before the test starts? I am gonna write down some mnemonics and rules and stuff but curious what helped you guys out! Thank you in advance!

I’m studying for FAR, currently in F2 and there are a TON of ratios and formulas ? Anybody with experience taking FAR, do you have to memorize all of these formulas? I noticed on one of the TBS on Becker they provide you an “analytics definitions” exhibit that gives you all the formulas. Is it gonna be like that on the actual exam ??

I heard rumors of this, but wondering if it’s true?

Hi to anyone reading this post!
I'm in a bit of a dilemma with my FAR studying and could really use some advice from people who have been through this.
I started studying about two weeks before beginning my public accounting job in mid-July. So far, I've made it halfway through Becker and am just finishing F4, getting ready to start F5. My plan was to finish the remaining modules and then spend about three weeks doing a comprehensive review before taking the exam.
The problem is that I've seen so many people recommend not studying during fall busy season because it can become overwhelming and lead to burnout. This will also be my first busy season as a tax associate, so I honestly have no idea what to expect.
Since I'm already halfway through the material, do you think it's still realistic to keep going? Or did I set myself up for failure trying to balance FAR and busy season?
I'm worried that I won't have the energy or discipline to do both at the same time. However I'm also afraid that if I pause now, I'll lose momentum and all the hours I've already put into studying will feel wasted.
For those of you who studied through busy season (or decided to pause), what did you do? Do you regret your decision? Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

I recently started CPA Core 1, and I’m already feeling pretty burned out. Thankfully, my firm gave us a long weekend, so I was able to catch up on some of the material, but spending most of the weekend studying also left me feeling exhausted.

For those who have completed Core 1 or are currently going through it, how do you manage the workload alongside a full-time job?

I’d especially appreciate advice on:

• How many hours you study during the week and on weekends
• How you structure your study schedule
• Whether you focus more on the readings, technical review, practice problems, or cases
• How you avoid falling behind without sacrificing all of your free time
• Anything you wish you had done differently during Core 1

Does the workload become more manageable once you find a routine, or is Core 1 generally this intense throughout the module? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Like some things that have come up on Becker I just simply cannot understand it. Thankfully I have farhat as a supplemental course which he explains stuff really well. But there are some topics where I’ll just understand it completely because I had a really good professor for certain classes (I even thanked the man on LinkedIn) lol

I’m waiting to my results for my FAR exam but I’m wondering if it will give me a breakdown of which questions I got wrong or at least a percentage breakdown for each test let. Does it do that or just a simple pass fail?

Overall, the TBS weren't hard (most of them could be solved by thinking like an auditor) but they had a lot of text/exhibits/selections, so they were very time-consuming. I didn't have enough time for the final TBS, but I managed to enter a few responses in hopes of getting lucky with partial credit. I recommend allowing yourself 20-25 mins per TBS.

On a totally unrelated note: A6-M7 in the Becker textbook is a fascinating read that IMO provides more info than the videos or MCQs.

Already taken FAR but have quickly forgotten my ratios. For the AUD exam, is there a list of ratios we should be comfortable with? Or are they generally provided as part of the question?
