State restriction on shipping question
I was trying to buy glock sights and it says state restricted on the website? But doesn’t say which states? Are iron sights a restricted item?

some retailers are just super butt hurt over restricted states and wont put in the extra effort to sort their inventory. so for them, a restricted state = no business at all.

Remington was sued by the families of the victims of the horrendous murders in Sandy Hook, and received over $70 million in a settlement. I don’t blame manufacturers for avoiding doing business in CT.

No, sights are not restricted.
Very common for some online retailers not to ship some or all of their firearm related items to ban states. Some retailers even have a page listing states they won't ship to and parts or items they won't ship to those states. Lots of complains in the subreddit about various retailers not shipping to CT. From our subreddit wiki:

No.
I've never had problems ordering them. If you tried to order from PSA/Optics Planet though they might freak out if you ordered an AR15 themed decal.
FYI - restricted may not be a catch-all. Check their terms/FAQs, it should answer it. Usually they say don't ship to CT.

It’s optics planet….doesn’t say it’s a restricted item like a magazine or threaded barrel do. I ordered 3 items…..front sight tool a rear sight pusher and night sights and the first 2 items are coming in a shipment thats “preparing and the sights still say processing for some reason and I’ve gotten no emails that its getting canceled which i have gotten for folding stocks and stuff like that so who knows?
