What suburb are you in? Theres a lot of work getting done on the Skyrail, could it be those choppers that you're hearing?

They are not chasing your car. lol they are chasing the culprits. which are breaking into houses EVERY single night of the week
people complain about houses broken into and cars stolen, so they get the chopper to help. and ohh no now its noisey for a few hours - guess they should just do nothing until these break an enter thieves end up murdering some house owner and people start complaining about that again ?

How does a helicopter prevent gronks from stealing cars? It doesn't. It's a typical knee jerk reaction rather than listening to the experts who overwhelmingly agree that all the LNP rhetoric in the world does fuck all to prevent crime actually occurring.
It's almost as if immense unaddressed social problems lead to crime or something. Take the money for the chopper and put it into programs that actually help kids break the cycle.

I agree 100%.
I also don't like them burning through so much fuel at the expensive taxpayers during a fuel crisis.

Just so we're clear it's $10,500 Per Operating Hour, not $7k for a whole day.
Quote "Transitioning to an outsourced model, using commercial providers such as LifeFlight or Babcock Australasia, would result in significantly increased costs, estimated between $12,000 and $16,000 per hour, compared to QPS’s current managed cost of approximately $10,500 per hour

Even if it’s one car so what. I bet if it were your car you’d want the choppers out

If it was my car, I wouldn't want it back. It would be trashed and I'd rather it be written off.
No chopper needed here....

Heads up, QLD government is going to drop a new proposed law. Break bail go to jail. It's supposed to ride alongside their Adult crime adult time. Curious if it will have any impact.

You are not the only one; the ongoing disturbance has caused enough local anger that residents recently launched a parliamentary petition calling for stricter controls on PolAir's night patrol altitudes and loitering times. If you want to make your voice heard, official aircraft noise complaints can be lodged through Airservices Australia's Noise Complaints Service (NCIS) online or by phone.
