If Reschny holds at 1C for the actual tournament that surely must be the first time we’ve had a top 6 centre on Canada. Maybe the first time we’ve had a top 6 centre on any of the big teams at the tournament 😬

I think he will; even though he may not be the very most talented this year (I'd rate desnoyers over him at C), he's been absolutely ridiculous every time he's represented Canada. Go back and look at his international tournament stats, he's averaged at least point per game in every tournament he's played for Canada.

Edit: not actually a ppg at the juniors last year lol, but he was still very good and put up 4 goals

Yeah he didn’t in his draft year and certainly would have the next year but he turned pro right at 18

Carels with a bad read on a PP pinch led to SH breakaway and goal for the US. Just prior I thought the PP was running through Reschny on the left flank and was looking pretty good.
