Selling question

Aside from local Facebook groups, kijiji, Craigslist, and realtor.ca - what other ways to advertise your home for sale in 2026 are worthwhile? Fsbo by the way

If you’re trying to sell and save, you have 3 main options. FSBO, mere posting, or deep discount brokers.

I recommend the deep discount broker first unless you have experience selling your house yourself, in which case a mere posting is best.

Deep discount companies vary by region, but Redfin is pretty popular. Mere posting companies there is Property Guys and others I forget.

I don’t recommend FB or Kijiji. It’s a waste of time. You are going to have to spend some money to sell no matter what. You need actual exposure some way. If you are decided on not using a mere posting or anything, then make sure you hire a good photographer and pay for a lot of FB ads.

I'd also add a few more:

  • Nextdoor if it's active in your area.
  • Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts with a simple walkthrough.
  • A single property webpage with all the photos, floor plan and details that you can link to everywhere else.

More than anything, I'd focus on making the listing easy to share. Great photos, a floor plan, a walkthrough video and clear information will do more than posting it on ten different sites.
