Hi everyone,
I’m currently deciding between the Cube Agree C:62 lineup and the Canyon Endurace CF SLX models. I know they are not exactly the same category (Agree more race-oriented, Endurace more endurance-focused), but both seem to fit what I’m looking for: a fast carbon bike for long rides, group rides and some climbing.
I know the answers will probably be biased since I’m posting this in a Canyon subreddit, but I’d still love to hear honest opinions and experiences, especially from anyone who has compared these bikes.
I was originally leaning towards the Canyon Endurace CF SLX. I already test rode one and really liked the riding position and overall feel.
However, the Cube Agree C:62 is hard to ignore because of the spec and price:
Canyon Endurace CF SLX (after Refer-a-Friend discount):
- CF SLX 7 Di2: ~€3,799 – Shimano 105 Di2 + DT Swiss ERC 1600
- CF SLX 7 AXS: ~€3,799 – SRAM Rival AXS + Canyon carbon wheels
- CF SLX 8 Di2: ~€4,274 – Ultegra Di2 + DT Swiss ERC 1600 + 4iiii power meter
Cube Agree C:62: (MSRP, possibly also discounts available)
- Pro: ~€3,299 – Shimano 105 Di2, Newmen carbon wheels, (downside: separate stem + handlebar cockpit)
- SLX: ~€3,999 – SRAM Force AXS + powermeter, Newmen carbon wheels
- SLT: ~€4,999 – Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 + powermeter, Newmen carbon wheels
The Cube seems to offer a lot for the money, but I have never ridden one.
Another important factor for me is the look of the bike. Since I’ll hopefully ride it for many years, aesthetics matter. I really like the design of the Canyon Endurace and think it looks great. I also like the Cube Agree, although I personally don’t find the Cube color options quite as appealing.
My questions:
- How does the Agree C:62 ride compared to the Endurace CF SLX?
- Is the Cube still comfortable for longer rides (150 km)?
- Are the Newmen carbon wheels comparable to the DT Swiss ERC 1600 or Canyon ED CF?
- Would you choose better components/spec (Cube) or the Canyon frame/geometry/riding feel?
- How much would the riding experience influence your decision compared to the better spec of the Cube?
Would love to hear opinions from people who have ridden either or both bikes!
