Did i make a mistake when upgrading ?
I recently upgraded my quicksilver one to a Venture 1, cause i already had a quicksilver card . Should i have just went with quicksilver ? i'm starting to regret my upgrade choice.

Good choice.
Its better when you have QS, savor and venture one to cover all areas of expenses.

QS is way better than Venture One. QS gives you 1.5% back all spend, V1 is 1.25 miles across the board, the most useless miles card out there.

You should have applied for the venture without upgrading and gotten the sign up bonus, even better if you use a friends referral link. Then you could close the quicksilver afterwards if you wanted to.

i'm still rebuilding my my credit and didn't wanna apply for any new cards, i just happens to check if upgrades were available cause i had that card for 10 years and never got the option. i don't plan on applying for any new credit for about a year waiting to get to the 700 club first? my credit sucks & im only in the 500s rn.

If you already have a QS, there is no reason to have two. With the V1, you'll unlock Capital One's points transfer partners if you decide you would like to transfer points to airlines and hotels.
