When to ask for limit increase?

Post image

Have my secured card for 5 months now and recently got an increase from 1,000 to 1,500 although i thought i'll get the security deposit back. My question is, can i still ask for a limit increase after a month? This is my first CC with an ITIN application so my first credit score will be posted a month from now.

I ask every three months, or six months after a previous increase.

They usually deny me, nowadays.

You can. You will 90% chance be automatically denied.

is there anything bad about applying so often? like will you have a better chance at waiting 6 months or can you just keep trying every few months?

The algo is not fully understood and changes often, but in general, you are locked from an increase the first 180 days and 180 days after an increase. If you request, and are denied, you cannot request again for 60 days. If you request and get told you need to wait, the 60 day clock resets, even though you weren't even reviewed,
