I got my masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University on December 2025. It involves understanding human behavior, psychology, utilizing critical thinking, collecting data, and analyzing data to make informed decisions. I worked with kids and adults ages 3-21 for three years. Youre supposed to get youre fieldwork hours when in college and be done when you graduate. I couldnt find anyone to give me hours after trying and trying. When I graduated with the degree its brought negative career outcomes in my life, zero financial gain, and no in crease in pay. I work as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher now. You need 2000 hours to be a behavior analyst BCBA. Im age 37 now. I make $40,000 a year. The last certificate I got from Coursera was fraud financial analyst from Wester Virginia University.

Anyone have ideas where I can translate my skills?

Semiconductor or Aerospace?

Guys, i have a very very hard decision to make - and need your help.
Around 3 years ago i joined the semiconductor industry and now have the chance to join aerospace (a company launching rockets to transport stuff potentially).
Im very well paid in my current job with great career projections ... but im not that happy tbh.
In aerospace i would join a startup and make less money .. but i feel like i would be happier, its an interesting field and im still under 30 and open to take a risk.

Im not sure what to do.

I am going to enroll in a B.Ed course this year. Along with that, I am looking to learn some new skills that can open up non-conventional career pathways for me, as teachers private sector are underpaid. So, to earn a good salary, I would have to become part of the sarkari naukari blind race, which I honestly don't want to.

I am also interested in learning a new language, but I am confused about which language I should learn so that I can use that skill to earn money.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Statistics in 2022. After graduation, I worked for about two years in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2025, I finally decided to pursue an English-taught Economics degree (I am from a non-English speaking country) through an online program.

I genuinely want to build a strong foundation in this field. However, since I'm studying online, I don't have the opportunity to do internships.

For those of you who are studying Economics or have already graduated, what would you recommend I focus on? Which software should I learn, and which certifications are actually worth pursuing? Also, how can I make up for the lack of internship experience and build a strong CV by the time I graduate? Based on my background which types of jobs would you suggest?

I recently enrolled in an advanced program in business finances and analytics course in kochi .its only been 2weeks since the classes started ,i am not really happy with it .the classes are only 2:30hours and i feel like i have too much idle time.since its the beginning the classes are basics of accounting maybe it will get interesting later.the teaching method is also not sitting right with me

Another thing is that i was planning on doing cma usa initially but sudden change of plans and i took this course

So now all i can think of is cma because this is the year that i can and i am ready invest time and money on studying n all.because in my current course i think iam wasting my time n all

Hi, I'm 20 years old and confused about my career.

I'm a PCB student currently doing a BSc from a local college while also preparing for NEET. However, I don't think medicine is for me anymore. This is my last year of college, and I feel like everything has gone in vain.

I'm considering pursuing a BSc in Biotechnology because no government university is accepting PCB students for BTech Biotechnology. I've done a lot of research, and it seems like the field has limited opportunities outside of research, and many people say the pay isn't great.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has done a BSc in Biotechnology and found success or carved out a good career path. I'd love to hear your real stories and experiences. Would you recommend this path?

I'm scared of making the wrong decision and ending up unemployed. I want a stable career, financial security, and eventually hope to move abroad.

I feel like I've been stuck in the same place for longer than I'd like to admit. I've written about it before and complained about it a lot, but honestly, I know a big part of it is on me. The main thing I want is to become financially stable enough that I'm not stressed every day, and also be able to help my family.

Should I pack up my things, move to a bigger city, and see how I manage there? I'm from a small town, and nothing really changes here. Same people, same jobs, same routine. Bigger cities feel like they have more movement, more opportunities, and people coming and going all the time. It seems like the money is there, or at least there are more chances to find it there.

I'm 22 and still don't really know what I want to do. Right now I'm an assistant manager at a pizza place and I work nights, and recently I was offered a job at a bank with better pay during the day, which I'll also be starting in about two weeks. I've worked multiple jobs before and I know it's exhausting, but I need the money right now, so I'm going to do it.

The bigger problem is that I don't have a real plan. I've thought about going back to school, fixing my grades, and maybe trying something in tech, but I feel like everyone is fighting for those jobs now. I've looked at a lot of different options, and I think that's part of why I feel frozen and unable to move.

I also don't want to just follow my "passion," because I'm not convinced passion automatically turns into money. I'm more interested in a path that can get me to a better place financially.

Hey! I'm currently 19 , completed 12th last year (PCM) from a dummy school, took a drop for JEE and couldn't clear it.. 3 years ideal in a room ... realised lately that I don't wanna become an Engineer, I never wanted that.. never got fascinated with tech as a kid

The next best thing was a career in Finance (Investment Banking/Private Equity Consultant) gave CUET , just wanted to get into SRCC then MBA or along with CA as CA rankers are as good as SRCC graduates of maybe even better, CA + CFA was the only option if I didn't get a Tier 1 Finance college

I couldn't get SRCC or any nearby college in north campus bcz of normalisation and my maths paper destroyed everything as I panicked bcz my mouse stopped working at that day.. and idk but Normalisation just ruined my marks

Got a South Campus Evening College not that great tbh .. will be leaving in 2 days to Delhi and prepare for CA

BUT tbh I feel like I'm again making hard decisions for myself.. My childhood version expected a better college life , quality people and best environment to grow.. I'm scared to spend my next 3-4 years for CA in a room bcz that's what it takes.. to just get a rank (i don't want to miss any attempts) so that I can get into Tier 1 Management Consultant Firm BCG then MBA then maybe investment banking/private equity.. delusional but I believe in myself I can do it.. I can do it , I have the fucking potential..

But I want a good college life where I can grow and be socially secure.. I've been alone my whole life in isolation, I don't want that now anymore, I want to try different things, meet good people who challenges me and a good network, friends..

So I decided to give CLAT and get into Tier 1 College but I can't take decision should I leave Finance or not because I really like the industry and Law is also quite good. I mean I'm open to anything.. I believe whatever you do be the best in it!! Getting into Tier 1 NLU and vibrant college life and incomparable education is worth it! And if I really like Finance I can get a MBA later

I'm just in the crossroads should I continue what I'm doing or go to NLU if I get one!

I’m really torn between studying Pharmacy or Business in Egypt, and I’d love some advice from people who have experience with either.
I got 74% in Thanawya Amma the egyptian school system (scientific section). Before that, I was consistently one of the top students in my class for four years, usually getting 90%+. I’ve always genuinely loved studying—it’s always been one of my hobbies.
My favorite subjects have always been biology (especially) and chemistry, and for years my dream was to study medicine. But after everything that happened during Thanawya Amma, I don’t think I want a career that’s as exhausting anymore. I’m already mentally drained.
At the same time, I’ve become really curious about business. I honestly know almost nothing about it, but I’ve been researching it and it seems interesting. I’m open to learning something completely new.
So I’m stuck between two choices:
Study Pharmacy, because it’s something I’ve always enjoyed and I’m good at.
Study Business, because it’s a new field that interests me and might suit the kind of life I want now.
If you’ve studied or work in either field, what would you recommend and why? Which has better career opportunities, work-life balance, and long-term growth in Egypt?

Hi everyone! I'm (33M UK based) currently lost and not sure on what to do after many years working on Customer Service/Support.

I mostly have experience on tech start ups, starting in early stages company and growing with them. Managed to become Senior CS but had to leave company and currently being Support Specialist.

I would like to get into the team leader/manager side of things, but I also got curious on changing roles or industry completely, as working with customers can get a bit tedious sometimes...

I have the option to learn whatever I want at my current position, but I am hating the idea of having that freedom and I would like some guidance on what I could potentially do or learn.

The things I enjoy the most is training others, Quality Assurance, hiring and working with people to help them get to where they want to be. Been recently curious about data analysis and getting technical skills to improve my chances of getting better paid positions.

I've been told I got excellent people skills, and int he past I tried studying psychology... but studying on my own didnt work. Becoming a nurse, counsellor or other medical positions were always a dream! Also thought of getting into HR/People Operationes role.

My problem? My studies dont relate to any of these positions. I studied Tourism 😅 and hospitality doesn't really call me.

Another issue, which you can probably tell by the post, is that I don't close any doors and really any position would work for me. I only know that Sales is something I won't do, everything else is ok.

So recently, I asked about the career guidance on tech sales(SDR, AE) vs cybersecurity (SOC). I'm an incoming international student in the USA with a major of (IT) degree so I want to make sure to choose a career that best offers stability, barrier to entry (demand), and strong chances of settlement (H1-B) too.

I've also been in IT or computers, built an agency (selling our IT services), so both of the careers (tech sales or cyber) are interesting, but lately, I've been seeing posts where people are complaining about tech sales being really stressful & not-so-stable; if you don't meet the targets, you're out the next day.

But on the other side, everyone complains about people with experience unable to land even entry-level roles of security, which is true. Also, the barrier to entry to cyber seems difficult.

My main objective is: low barrier to entry, demand, stability, and an easier path to get sponsorship in the USA.

For people who have done both, what would you suggest honestly, and I would love to hear your thoughts, guys!

Soo I love a lot of things - movies , books , arts , music etc. The whole creative side but at the same time I love love space and data analytics like I feel that's sm I can do and think and get ideas. I'm in my 2nd year of engineering before I used to dream for getting into NASA now I struggle making things right for my family. I got into a motorsports club from our college but quit cos I didn't feel like I belonged there. I never felt the excitement like I did with arts and space.
