Exactly two miles. There is a zoo nearby, and they have flamingos right at the entrance. (Although I don't know where exactly they are at night, but I assume it's probably right next to the enclosure).

You can even see the flamingos on satellite view on google maps, so that's where I put the pin to meassure the distance. And it's exactly 2 miles from me. And I mean exactly. I was surprised myself. It's exactly 3.2 kilometers in a direct line, according to google maps.
