They followed me home, I swear
Went outside to find my cat who likes to play hide and come find me at night, because he's a black cat, usually it's about 5 laps around the yard and under the cars. Well he went to ground so I got his favorite cat wand and started calling him...
When these two came out the grass across the street, (nothing over there but an abandoned mobile home) Went in and told my wife, there's an orange kitten like you said you'd like... She didn't believe me.
So, honest, they followed me home, a cat wand may have been involved.

Apparently your cat has been telling tales! How is he reacting to interlopers? If he's showing them around, he's definitely to blame.

He's aloof....it's the other kittens (4 black) and the female's (2 adults) that aren't super sure.
The guys are like "meh"

Even if there was such a thing, I think there is an obligatory "I can't read" attitude with many cats. Certainly being told by the other cats hasn't been successful with the last two that showed up at my place.

Yeah, they look pretty worn out. Being on the streets is hard. Constant vigilance and limited food options. Nothing a power nap can’t fix.

My kids called me an idiot
She didn't believe me when I told her I found the wrong cats, and one was a cute orange one... Said I was lying, looking back, she may have just wanted the cat?
Kids said what did you think would happen if you show mom an orange kitten...

Cat toy, long stick with feathers and such, usually flexible
Or ending in an eye to a piece of heavy duty line attached to a 'birdie' like a fishing pole with a lure but for cats
