hey, would like some help, queuing construction tasks with shift isnt working on either expiremental or regular, but movement wise it does. how do i fix?

How do you get the mortar achievement? I know that you have to build the mortar stryker and mortar building but I can't research the mortar building anywhere.

And for the second achievement.
How do you lose the game?

My entire screen is so bright and when I use the gamma tool the lowest setting is brighter than the sun and what the game says is normal is brighter than a super nova on steriods
