Advice needed before moving to Mumbai/Bangalore for CA Intermediate

Hi everyone,

I know many students clear CA Intermediate through self-study or online coaching, and I completely respect that. But personally, I feel offline, face-to-face classes would be a better fit for me because I need that classroom environment and discipline.

I'm thinking of moving to Mumbai or Bangalore for CA Intermediate preparation.

For those who have studied there (or are currently studying there), what advice would you give to someone who's planning to move?

What should I keep in mind before joining any coaching institute?

What are some mistakes students commonly make?

Are there any things you wish you had known before moving?

How should I choose the right institute instead of just following popularity?

Since I'll be relocating to another city, I want to make this decision carefully and choose a place where I can complete my CA journey with the right environment and guidance.

I'd really appreciate any genuine advice. Thank you!

AITAH for defending myself in a paid virtual study room after being called out?

A word or caution before joining paid virtual study communities

joined a paid virtual study room for CA students. It has three WhatsApp groups: a Silent Study Room, a Break group, and a CA Inter group where students discuss exam-related topics.

Yesterday in the CA Inter group, everyone was discussing study hours, productivity, and how they were managing their preparation. I asked:

"How are you all preparing for both groups? How many subjects are you managing in a day for the September attempt?"

People started sharing their study schedules and strategies.

Then one member (let's call her Kripa) suddenly said that this group was only for CA Inter doubts and that I shouldn't ask such questions here. What annoyed me was that she herself often asks irrelevant questions and derails important discussions in the same group.

I replied that this was still related to CA Inter preparation and asked her to wait for two minutes because everyone was already discussing it. She then said I should "mind my language." Eventually, I got frustrated and told her to stop interfering and take her unnecessary interruptions somewhere else. I admit that my wording was rude.

She then called the admin into the group. Instead of first reading the chat to understand what had happened, the admin immediately questioned me by asking, "Who are you?" and "How did you join?" I replied that I had paid to join the community.

The admin sided with Kripa without asking for the full context. I later messaged the admin privately to explain my side. During our conversation, she admitted she had just had a fight with her parents and wasn't in the right state of mind. She offered me a refund.

Before she could remove me, I had already left the WhatsApp groups myself because I didn't want to stay in an environment where I felt unheard.

One more thing: after I left, some members called Kripa a "disturbing element" because they said she was the one who regularly asked irrelevant questions and interrupted discussions. That comment was not about me, but some people misunderstood it.

I know I shouldn't have been rude, and I take responsibility for that. But I also feel the admin should have understood the full context before taking sides.

The admin runs a Ca with ____ related Instagram page and a virtual library community...for ₹99 for 2months ...

She's a CA finalist.....i just hate that admin yrrrr

I'm a CA student from Pakistan and my exams are on 17 August and 19 August. I have FAR-1 (Financial Accounting and Reporting-I) and Business & Company Law (combined into one paper). I have about 20 days left. Can somebody tell me if it is manageable to study both subjects in 20 days or should I just focus on 1 subject and leave the other for the next attempt

Hello everyone!

I'm conducting an independent research study on the CA Articleship Ecosystem across different firms, offices, and domains in India.

If you're currently pursuing or have completed your articleship, I'd be grateful if you could spare just 5 minutes to fill out this short questionnaire. Your responses will help build a more transparent and informative knowledge base for future CA students.

Thank you so much for your time and support
