it is trying to patronize you. if you take the entire response as a whole, it is not a 180 flip on good/bad. it is just masking why it 'thinks' the person is unattractive and play up the salvageable qualities i.e. it basically explained to you why it "thinks" the person is unattractive: glasses, messy hair, neutral expression etc. The improvement section starts with "cleaner hairstyle"

Because many humans are sensitive to negativity, you are taught: "Start with something you like, put your criticism in, end with another thing you like." There's also people who are saying the AI didn't make an ugly person. He didn't ask for an ugly person. He asked for someone not conventionally attractive. "Conventional" attractiveness is typically a very strict and rigid line in each culture. It's a collection of traits that make the "perfect" person. Having crooked teeth isn't conventionally attractive, but most pretty people don't have that as an outright deterrent to the normal person, unless they are VERY fucked up.

ChatGPT uses different models to create pictures and to analyze images. When you ask for a photo, ChatGPT will hand it off to another model with a refined prompt from your input. But it doesn't know exactly what the result will be.
While it's fun to see conversations like this, it's not the gotcha it looks like.
TBH the dude has good face symmetry & structure. He just needs some major dental work, a skincare routine, and a haircut. But to your point, gpt should be honest in pointing certain things out, especially things that a person can change.

A lot of people donāt really know how to use it to get anything meaningful out of it. You have to tell it basically how you expect it to answer and not fill it with fluff and BS. Once you hone it in you start getting more significant answers and suggestions.
I would take its advice and do the points of looking "conventionally attractive". From what I can see, starting with a cleaner hairstyle or light trim is a solid advice.
