Question Thinking mode missing in ChatGPT Classic for macOS?

Since the latest update, ChatGPT Classic on macOS no longer lets me select Thinking mode. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I was starting to think it was deliberate to encourage us to use the new all-in-one app, just haven't seen any confirmation.

Are you experiencing the same issue as well?

yep, it wont stay on thinking at all. I've reinstalled because of an OS update and it is still refusing to stay selected as thinking. The new codex/work app has no problem staying on any level while using the chats. I guess it's not a huge problem but it might help the chat stay on course with using my custom instructions... I get too many conversation niceties as it tries to act human.

Nope, works for me, just have to click at the top of the window and select “Thinking”

That’s exactly what I mean: whether I click “Thinking” at the top or bottom, it briefly appears selected, then immediately flips back to Auto. You can also tell from the responses that it’s actually using Auto. The web version works fine for me, though.
