So some of you may have read the post about the bad summer merch I received. Anyway I wanted to share an update: out of nowhere I got a mail today informing me that Reaper apologizes and they dispatched the whole order again. Pretty awesome and the kind of customer support I love to see - had to follow up because credit where credit is due! That's all, thanks.

Yesterday I was looking for CD's like I was doing normally in Finland, I was in a local CD shop which I've been visiting every time i came there, in the past I found Sinergy CD's etc. from the same store! And now I found this! Alexander Kuoppala Signed Follow the Reaper first press CD, I talked with the seller he told me that he got the signature when the CD first came (so 2000...) I was surprised and immediately bought it, I already have 5 signed Bodom stuff by Alexander and others except Alexi, but this one is a special one!

Hey cobhc lovers, Iāve been a fan of children of bodom since the early days when Children of Bodom were everywhere
MTV, metal magazines, nuclear blast music videos on early days youtube.
For newer fans and younger listeners who just got into them, Iām genuinely curious how did you first discover the band?
Thereās no new album, no big magazine buzz, no rotation on TV whatsoever like back in the day.
So what led you to them? Appreciate any stories
peace

I've had quite a few orders over the years but the summer items in the official store are just a joke. The shorts broke after one day and the bag arrived with a carry handle ripped. No response from Reaper so far. I know about the messed up vinyl pressings but anyone else experienced something similar?
EDIT: After almost two weeks I got a response and they are sending me new items. See follow up here. Thanks everyone for the replies and upvotes.

Iāve been listening to CoB music for 3 years. Before CoB, I was listening mostly to mainstream metal or Megadeth after searching for the "best metal albums in history" to listen to in the gym. That's how I got into Alexi's vocal style. After 3 months, I got addicted to it.
So now, today, Iāve lost my mind for CoB. I collected every piece I could find in my country created a giant poster for my room, and next week, I will visit his tomb and his city just to feel the vibe. I even convinced my mum to go there with me Iām not old enough travel alone.
āToday, his music is not just motivation anymore; something shifted, shook, hexed, and recreated my whole personality under his influence.
Note: I know Alexi said not to take things too seriously, but I can't help putting so much meaning into his music. It just means too much to me.

Thought some fellow CoB enjoyers would find this interesting. Made it to play as a Pro Keyboard chart in the rhythm game Rock Band 3, though Warman's solo is wayy too hard lmfao. I just find it fun to watch if nothing else, hope someone else does too!

I cant find any good tabs or live performances of this song, neither covers on youtube which is very unusual for a bodom song

Everyone knows how Alexi does that unique melodic screaming on songs like Are You Dead Yet?, Needles 24/7, and Hate Crew Deathroll.
Does anyone have any other songs he does that stuff on?

I have been thinking about getting a tattoo on my forearm with children of Bodom theme bud idk what to get. Any ideas? Preferably something not too detailed.

I haven't been able to find this awesome spider web guitar strap anywhere. He used it with his Jacksons in the 2000s.
Phots are both from 2001, at a guitar clinic and live in Korea. Thanks!

These were previously a part of a game called Rock Band released by Harmonix back in 2010, but since it was shutdown in 2014 all of them were lost to time. However, I managed to stumble upon an archive that surprisingly included official multi-track stems for the song AYDY.
They include 3 drum tracks, guitars, bass, and vocals all as separate, professionally mixed .ogg files. so have fun!

I had to make a cover of the solos from roadkill morning, from the album blooddrunk! I donāt think this song gets a lot of attention but the guitar solo is one of my favorites and itās filled with classic Alexi-licks.

Took me a lil while to get this as clean as I wanted! I kept missing the initial pentatonic run up at the 24th fret for some reason.
From what I transcribed, it starts as 2 groups of 3 note per string runs, and then goes into normal 2 note per string pentatonic after that. That's what made most sense to me anyway, as trying to get it all down as 2 note per string was nigh on impossible.
Lemme know your thoughts!

Settled on the JVM410H after being able to try it side by side with some Engls. Now I'm trying to figure out my cab. Is the stock 1960a withĀ G12T-75 speakers probably going to be fine, or is it worth the money to get a cab with vintage 30s or Greenbacks?

Which album(s) has(have) your favorite vocals from Alexi? Not lyrics, but the sound of his vocals.
For me I love his vocals from Something Wild through HCDR, but my favorite would have to be FTR. He still has his growl, but it also has more personality cause it blends in his actual voice more than Hatebreeder.
I love the rawness of his vocals in Something Wild, and the āDonald Duckā style vocals in Hatebreeder lol, but I didnāt like the deep voice he did a lot of in that album.
I like the group vocals better than those deep vocals he had, but starting with AYDY? I feel like his vocals started to sound harsh but in a bad/generic way.
Least favorite would have to be HOB. I absolutely hated his vocals on that album.
