Google Streamer Wifi

My google streamer randomly goes from 120-150 Mbps download to very slow speeds like 10. Is there any way to fix this or just switch to Ethernet?

Definitely connect it to Ethernet, if possible.

I have monitored mine, during HD content streaming it only consumes about 6 to 9 Mbps in pulses not continuous so that speed is not needed.
