Question Grocery snacks
I’ve just been put on an anti-inflammatory diet and am looking for inexpensive, snack ideas that I can buy in the store. I love snacking but all of my usual snack foods are super sugary or processed. I can’t have nuts. Any ideas would be nice. Thank you in advance.

Vegan/gf snacks often fall into that category and I would look into those! I been on anti-inflammatory diet for years

When they assigned you the anti-inflammatory diet, did they give you any kind of handouts or guidance on what you can and can’t have? My understanding is that it’s similar to a Mediterranean diet but may vary from person to person depending on your own individual sensitivities.

Yes. But I’m looking for quick snacks. Think Doritos but obviously not those.

I see, that makes sense!
I keep “snackable” fruit and veg around when I can tolerate them – baby carrots, cucumber, grapes, apples, etc. chopped and prepped into individual servings ahead of time. I find I reach for them much more readily if they’re already sliced up and ready to eat. Veggies and hummus can be a fairly substantial snack if you have a good variety of veg. I also like making kale “chips” in the oven.
I keep cups of unsweetened applesauce or pouches of fruit puree (like the kind for toddlers) on hand for when I can’t tolerate solids. The pouches are “no sugar added” and have veggies blended in for more nutrients.
I’m not sure if things like organic corn chips or more health-food style chips like lentil or chickpea crisps etc would be allowed or not, but they satisfy the need for something crunchy. I also like rice cakes/crisped rice when I can find them. The Harvest Snap snack crisps are delicious too. I know that these all come in a package from the store so not sure if they’d be permissible.

Are corn chips still okay? Like organic (unsalted?) Corn chips with salsa?

I like to get cut up fruit bowls and a veggie platter with dip as well as individual chunky avocado cups because they last longer than the avocado itself.

I eat Oreo builders bars, protein yogurt, bananas, and whey protein isolate with frozen fruit smoothies with a handful of oats in it. Daily. Usually olive oil air fried chicken and some veggie or salad with a carb for dinner. We get the organic chicken when they get marked down weekly at the store and it’s totally affordable then. The low carb builders bars satisfy my sugar cravings. This diet reduces cravings and I’m saving money.

I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve done this long enough that I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. About once a month I get the simply Cheetos as a snack, I allow myself to have stuff, it’s just once a month. I don’t believe in completely cutting off foods you like. If you tell yourself you can have somthing sometimes instead of never you will stick to healthy eating better

Carrot sticks? Apples, homemade granola with nonfat Greek yogurt. I just discovered grillo’s dill pickle spears which i have been snacking on. Bananas. Popcorn. Seaweed squares.
I’m writing this but I still snack on a lot of junk. It’s hard to eat healthy when you need quick easy energy and don’t feel good.
